LED light in the bathroom

The "branded" Chinese light bulb burned out in the bathroom above the washing machine - it somehow got a bit dark. You will not turn on the main lighting in the bathroom to load / unload the laundry from the washing machine. It is necessary to make your reliable light bulb.

What is needed:
1. A radiator plate of suitable sizes.
2. The radiator itself.
3.LED emitter.
4. Aluminum plate for adapter.
5.Driver.
6. Case for the driver.
7. Soldering iron, flux and solder.

Some materials I picked up in the zashashnik:

Radiator R44-30-3L; round radiator plate BK724-23 Ø44 mm for 3 series-connected LEDs. I cut a Ø50 mm board (according to the internal size of the spot) from an aluminum plate 1 mm thick. Marked it and drilled the holes necessary for fastening.

Drivers PSM-330ma-3WS (Uin = 90-260 VAC; Uout = 8-10 VDC; Iout = 330 mA; the number of LEDs - 3x1 W) were also found.

For the lamps I used 3HPD-1 LEDs (W = 1 W; I = 350 mA; Upr. = 3.2-3.4 V; Φν = 120-130 lm; 2Θ1 / 2 = 120 °; T = 4000 K; chip Genesis Photonics 38 mil, Taiwan).

Using the beaten-up technology, I glued the LEDs to the radiator plate and, waiting for the glue to dry, attached the plate with LEDs to the board through the heat-conducting paste KPT-8 and fixed it (also through KPT-8) to the radiator. The result is such a flashlight.

Since the drivers are frameless, I had to purchase a suitable case in the Chip & Dip store.

The bathroom is a wet room, I had to think hard about sealing the terminals.

Insulated the driver leads with silicone sealant.

This assembly turned out here.

She calmly got into the spot on the latches.

The temperature on the radiator plate after an hour of operation did not exceed 35 ° C.

R555,
There is a very instructive book
He worked for an energy company, every first Wednesday of every month is TB day! A detailed analysis of accidents throughout Russia for a month, Czechs and Poles - have a rest! yes
Valery,
And that with the ring, the confusion came home. And the wife almost immediately noticed that there was no ring. Scandal. I thought that I had forgotten my mistress. He then honestly said that he had lost at work. You want, call the chief (me), he will confirm, he told me, don’t wear the ring at work related to electrics. After these words, she believed, but said: buy a new ring for me too. good xaxa
R555,
And this is an example of a lamp from unscrupulous manufacturers

Luminescent lamp, on each side of the cylinder 2 outputs, as well as large. But the starting circuit and ballast are incomprehensible. It seems there is a coil. Capacitor and several resistors. Of course, this shit didn't work for 3 months either. I didn’t throw it away, because the finished case with a power plug and a switch. I will collect something in it, for example, an LED lamp. By the way, this case has 3 watts written on the case.
Valery,
And I counted. Not 29 for me, but 30 already xaxa This is a fluorescent lamp with electronic ballast in my hallway. Reliable, however.

Valery,
Really strange thought ... (Whirlpool of thoughts, probably
As always, I could not intelligently express my thoughts (scum run up). I just thought that in the usual "kopeck piece" there were enough pieces of 15 incandescent lamps, well, not 45! scratch

Yes not 45 at me !!!
Well I counted - 57! smiles
Hallway - 11 pcs. (a chain of ten shades with an arc along the ceiling +1 in the corner at the entrance, included separately). Corridor - 4 pieces (in a ramp in the upper corner between the wall and the ceiling., Living room - 8 in the chandelier, three points in the ceiling, kitchen - also 11. (as in the corridor, only 7 shades and 3 “arc” hang in the “wave” in the corner above the table, toilet - 2 points (R63), bathroom - 3 points same + 1 below the shelf, bedroom - 8 in the chandelier, 3 points in the ceiling. In addition, I have long lamps above all three windows behind the ledges (before there were luminescent, now - diodes of the same form factor. They always burn when it gets dark - the "twilight" + "electric curtain" mode, as I call the backlight of tulles from nutri.) And now 57 pieces.
I also have 3 pieces in the decorative niches in the corridor. They also always burn in the evening, but there are single-watt bulbs .. I don’t count them.
Although ... Why not count them ???
And then I’ll count the “take-off”.))) So I call the bottom light of the corridor.))) On the walls of the corridor below I put in a fifty-millimeter high decorative strip trimmed with bark beetle and separated from the wallpaper by oak moldings in which square furniture fixtures. There are 7 of them in total. Turned on by marching switches from different ends of the corridor. It is very convenient if everyone is sleeping, but someone needs to go - the switches are at hand everywhere, and the light is soft and only below ... Wakes no one ... We use it all the time ...
So, not 57 in my "kopeck piece" of bulbs, but 67 !!!
P.S. I do not like it when it’s dark and it is necessary to squint ... But we go to bed late, get up early ...))))
P.P.S. There is also a private house ....))))) .. I’m silent for now ...))))

.... he lost this ring at the facility. And there was construction going on, garbage everywhere, he was looking for half a day, he never found. And then I told him. God saved you.

What did you do with the ring? boss
ino53,
And this is a couple of cases from my practice (with a good outcome).

Mounted video surveillance in a small production. Only me and the deputy remained in the workshop. directors. He decided to show me something in the power cabinet. The door was opened and this deputy., Holding the cabinet body with his left hand !!! tilts its stupid head directly to the supply tires !!! Well, the reaction did not let me down; I managed to throw him by the scruff of his neck like a puppy. Why are you, he said. The switch is disconnected. He did not understand what was going to happen to him.

Another episode. My partner got married. He wore the ring, did not take off at work. I tell him. The wife will not be offended, remove the ring when working with current. He brought him a real case when an electrician killed right after the wedding. He touched the ring of wire - and ready. And he would have touched a finger without a ring, most likely, he simply “jerked”. But the young partner, stubborn, did not listen to me. So with this ring I climbed where 220. I don’t know how it would end, but .... he lost this ring at the facility. And there was construction going on, garbage everywhere, he was looking for half a day, he never found. And then I told him. God saved you.
R555,
Another case is also described there. In the cinema after the session, one man went to the toilet to pee. And kaaak will give him from the toilet, well, understand where. Either he was shy, or out of harm, but he did not tell anyone. The same thing happened with the second visitor to the toilet. And he didn’t tell anyone. ireful Freaks! And the next one was so fucked up that he didn’t get out of the toilet. For a long time, how can a toilet shock? It turns out that the wire broke, fell on the drainpipe, and from it the voltage fell on the toilet (I don’t remember the details). Of course, the toilets do not ground, so it beat.
R555,
I don’t know how, now, there was such a quarterly newsletter within the association, “Overview of industrial accidents ...”, chipboard bar, it’s impressive there how many people die by stupidity.
Korolev,
There is a very instructive book (read at school). It is called "Electricity does not forgive." The author is a Czech or a Pole, I don’t remember. It describes the real cases of electric shock, moreover, such that fairly competent people were caught.

One man made a home-made water heater (I think in those days it was problematic to buy a ready-made one). He climbed into the bath, began to swim. And, suddenly, he began to shake. The wife came running, but it was already too late. The commission began to understand. They measured the voltage between the boiler and the bath. No. But how did he kill him? And only when they waited a while, the tension appeared. Understood later. When he clamped the nichrome wire under the screw, he left the tip literally 2-3 mm. When heated, it expanded and shorted to the boiler body. Here it is.

ino53,
About the kitchen. Chandelier - 3 lamps. Hood above the stove - 2 lamps. The lamp above the table - 2 lamps. Total: 7lamp. But this does not mean that they are included at the same time.

pogranec,
Cool. Everyone began to count how many light bulbs anyone has! xaxa
A private house. 43 light bulbs. It has a garage, a barn, a cellar, a summer kitchen and street lighting. Well, you can put a couple on the street. And the lamps are all mixed up. There are LED, there are luminescent, there are ordinary incandescent. Over time, I will replace it with LEDs, but while they are on, let them work.

Let's do it again.
57 diodes consume 427.5 watts
45 approximately similar in terms of luminous flux - 3420 W ... (I don’t know why this is true ...))))
For a better comparison, 57 conventional ones - 4275 watts
4275 - 427.5 = 3847.5 W

Your thought didn’t go away at that very beginning. ))) By 75 it was necessary to divide the power consumed by the diodes (427.5 W). And it would turn out that only 5.7 Ilyich bulbs will fit in such power !.))))) And it burns from it - 57.)))

Well, I have a 600 lumen light bulb in my bathroom. True, under the ceiling. A 200 lumen luminaire is built into the cabinet (redone, the original was halogen). The latter allows you to only shave.

Gentlemen, the inhabitants of our site! What are we arguing about? I was thrilled to make this lamp! The drivers of this company have been working with me since 2013. And in the living room (about 12 different capacities), and in the bedroom (pieces 9-10), and in the kitchen, and on the balcony, and in the bathroom, in the study, and in the hallway and etc. I also tried Gauss bulbs - full g ... We worked 1.5 years. So I decided to make the lamps myself on the emitter and 5630 LEDs. The lighting in parrots does not turn off all day (cloudy weather), the illumination of my wife's shelves with porcelain figures (she collects them) also almost does not turn off. The wife as she gets up, immediately cuts the light in the kitchen. And note that the lamps are all homemade! And only one burned out (and then because of a broken driver wire). I only have one CFL left - a bagel above the Osram dining table, but I already have everything to make a full-fledged LED out of it (I'm waiting for it to burn out). Firstly, the savings are huge (I used to pay for 200 kW, now I can’t get out of 120. And the LEDs do not fade, but they degrade slowly. So it seemed to me that the light flow over the stove fell a little. So here it is!

Pronin,
1. turn off the voltage, 2. turn on the control, 3. check with a WORKING indicator that there is no voltage ... the rules in PTEEP must be observed!
In bli-and-n, and men do not know! Millions of people changing light bulbs in their homes will not understand you!

How do you see the growth of my wife?

Such a mirror with pendants, under the ceiling
I bought a similar, three lamps + blue LED background. The pendants are not made of plexus, but of a crystal type, with a palm the size of and thick. Visually similar to the lower half of the fir cone. Severe, infection, tortured to hang! It is controlled from the remote control, but you can simply click the switch several times to select the desired mode. So I think if the control driver is covered, will I change the driver, or buy a chandelier easier? scratch

And change the lights in the bathroom yourself

And who then changes them except me ?! It happened to us somehow that I don’t know where the borscht and main dishes come from, but I don’t know how the “clothing cycle” is carried out in the house. (Every day I throw my clothes in the bathroom into the basket! How does it creep into my shelf, already becoming clean? !!!)))).
And the wife, in turn, does not know that the bulbs burn out, the cars break down (including washing and dishwashers) and where it all comes from ...)))
No ... Of course, my wife will be able to take and change the light bulb if necessary (and not only that) ... But, while I live in this house, I can’t imagine what should happen for her to do this.)))
It would be better to squint without one lamp, but wait until it “lights up itself.”)))) Moreover, there is not a single place where one, or even two burned out lamps, served as a reason for complete darkness ..))). .. Now I even counted it specially .. In a two-room apartment I have 52 lamps in total ... We love the light ...

IKEA, RIET, LED E14 200 lm, spherical milk, Designer IKEA of Sweden, 79 rub.
yes
Valery,
All is correct. Just need another indicator with neonka (indicator screwdriver). And a tool with insulated handles. And change the light bulbs in the bathroom yourself (warn the household). May everyone be healthy and joyful.
And all a Happy New Year! Now for sure.
Pronin,
How complicated it is !!! Ohrenet ... And as "in the subject" ...))))
Not later than 15 minutes ago my daughter called. He says that the light went out in the hallway. She tried to unscrew, and her glass came off. (They drove into the apartment before the New Year. In the hallway there is a single light chandelier, but with glass pendants.))). And, although the E27 diode was in stock, it has not yet been changed. And this one barked, and her husband was at work.
I went along the road to the basement (I'm here now. My daughter lives in my entrance three floors below)). He took with him only pliers and a flat screwdriver. He stood on a chair, laying on it a pillow from the sofa. Jerked straight down the flask. I looked inside - if the long wiring remained from the central contact, then it must be screwed carefully, so that without a circuit, bend inward. Did not have. He broke away from soldering, remained on the flask. He deepened the screwdriver between the cap and the cartridge, slightly turned. For the resulting "step" pliers turned the base. Wrapped up a diode ...
I came to the basement, turned on the computer ... I read the comment about the chandelier with pendants and terrible difficulties when replacing the same light bulb.)))
P.S. Some kind of telepathy ...

Step one: unscrewed the burned out bulb.
Step three: screwed a new light bulb.

For Zhinka, this may be the last step ... Change light bulbs under voltage 230V with wet hands on a wet rug in slippers ...

1. turn off the voltage,
2. turn on the control,
3. check with a WORKING indicator that there is no voltage and then
4. DRY hands, in dry shoes, on a strong stand (ladder) to twist-twist ...
So let it better screw-unscrew 12v light bulbs
Actor Anatoly Papanov did not know these nuances with the electrician in the bathroom and he had your last 3 step ... (R.I.P)
It was a long time ago, the sister-in-law asked to change the central bulb in the chandelier ... Such a mirror with hanging ones, under the ceiling. She has an obtuse son (~ 8th grade) tried something. Well, this is not a bath, BUT the rules in PTEEP must be observed! Climb on the table and on the chair. In gloves. The lamp turns and does not turn off ... That is understandable. I use a pair of pliers with insulated handles (Dima, as it should) to break a glass flask. I check the indicator - ha, there is tension! Get fucked up! Craftsmen put a switch on the neutral wire! Okay, unscrewed the rest of the lamp, screwed in a new light bulb ... Then I redid the wiring as well.

Korolev,
If everything is there, then such a lamp is done in 3-4 hours. And if you put on the stream, you can also sell (but I do not aspire to this)! The drivers are reliable (they’ve been shining in my living room for more than 5 years). I can give a tip to the store. Well, the lights, this is how God puts it. So far, not a single light has burned out for me (this is with a good heat sink). How do I solder an emitter? I definitely put the cooling pad on hot-melt adhesive (moreover, the layer is minimal), or I solder along with the contacts.
Valery,
Guest Oleg,
People, well, they don’t even serve a year.If only you have perfect power supply, and there are no power surges. At home, for four years, only lamps from Ikea have been used, but still they are sold at 400-600 rubles, and I bought them at 1000 rubles four years ago. I lie, tp-link is still smart, it cost 1550, but for that kind of money they simply have no right to be unreliable.
I also installed four years ago to my parents a couple of bulbs with radiators, still of an old design, now they are not sold. They also serve all these 4 years. All the last purchased bulbs produced in Russia die very quickly. The author of the article actually saves money.
Valery,
Why make a fuss with homemade lamps ??
And to plow this garden for the rest! Eternal, especially from the Middle Kingdom, there is nothing, neither drivers, nor LEDs! And if we need minutes of time and a penny of money to replace a standard lamp, then when the elements of the self-propeller fail, it will take much more time and money to light up! Technomazo! fool
Quote: Pronin
The absolutely right decision is to switch to a 12V LED light bulb and not to redo the design ... If it were even more reliable to put the AC-DC 230 / 12V source, and not China-cheap-junk ...

So what exactly prevents it from simply changing the lamp to an LED, of the same form factor ???. They cost a penny! Any bulb "automatically" has a year of warranty. (Some are bigger. It's like with shoes - 1 month under the Law on Consumer Rights, and the rest is at the discretion of the manufacturer / seller). Changing it is a minute of time ...
Why make a fuss with homemade lamps ??
There was a fashion for these halogen bulbs at one time ... They did not withstand criticism and life circumstances. They were used (and continue) for spot lighting at all kinds of exhibitions (artist design, etc.)

And I got into this “fashion”. I have four - in the corner ceiling ramp in the corridor (used at least an hour or two a day). Three in two rooms in suspended ceilings to illuminate sofas. (Used less frequently. Not even every day). There were halogens of 50 watts everywhere. Burned out. Then he put “Granites” - he forgot for five or six years. And then diodes appeared ... In the last three or four years there have been 7 diode diodes there. Until not one burned down ...
So, I ask again: why do home-made ???. To "For 20 years" ??? .. And when something happens to her, which is faster and easier - to get out of the shelf and replace, or take a soldering iron and repair?
Guest Oleg
45 p led lamp 7w gu5.3 base. One year warranty. Chelyabinsk. And the meaning of the collective farms?
Eig,
Well, a normal light bulb cannot cost 76 rubles
As soon as the first of this party ceases to function, I will certainly unsubscribe, unless of course I myself live to see this moment! Theory without practice is dead (Mark Fabius Quintilian)! yes
Korolev,
Well, a normal light bulb cannot cost 76 rubles. Only one good driver for 8 watts (as the author of the article) on aliexpress costs 70 rubles. I recently bought 7 W bulbs for 200 rubles, manufacturer Nanosvet. I know for sure that this is a normal price, because at the total cost of components it turns out that way.
In 50-100 ruble bulbs put components that work within their capabilities.

ino53,
The light is used only to load / unload laundry from the washing machine. The average LED resource is 20,000 - 25,000 hours. Why not?
Eig,
.......
Why such optimism? Due to the low temperature and underuse of current? I agree, but 20 years - bust, IMHO.
Eig,
The work done by the author will last about 20 years. A modern bulb of Russian or Chinese production for 76 rubles will burn out after three months, or something will fall off in the driver. My father bought a year ago five bulbs per chandelier for 50 rubles, such as cheap.

1. Made by the author will last 20 years - not a fact, because:
it will burn out after three months, or something will fall off in the driver.

2.for 76 rubles it will burn out in three months - not a fact, because a normal, adequate seller, with whom I personally spoke as a specialist with a specialist, said that the products of this particular manufacturer are quite reliable both by the results of independent examinations and by the absence of returns to it (and not only) store.
3. bought a year ago five bulbs per chandelier for 50 rubles, sort of cheap - from a conversation with the same seller, an electrical engineer, by the way, even eminent brands have unsuccessful series, and there are a lot of low-quality fakes for these brands on the market. And a year ago for 50 rubles - a frank g ... yes
