Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Square blanks
We need a piece of a square rod, it needs to be cut into three pieces of the same length. Next, we clean the metal from rust, mark the places and drill holes. In the holes we cut the threads for screws with a tap, the knives will be fixed with these screws.
Further, the author, using a hacksaw for metal, makes cuts in the details, knives will be inserted into these cracks.
Step Two Assembly
We need to weld the three previously made parts together, a piece of a round log or a bolt that serves as an axis is welded to them, this axis will be clamped in the drill chuck. Of course, you need to try to weld everything as evenly as possible, otherwise using the device will be inconvenient.
To give reliability to the whole structure and make it safe to handle, the author bent the ring from the reinforcement and welded it to the free three ends of the product.
Step Three Knife installation and testing
We prepare three steel plates that will serve as knives.The plates should be made of hardened steel, you can try using a hacksaw blade from an old saw or harden the disc metal from a circular saw. The metal strips are clamped with screws, adjustment is done by eye.
Now everything is ready, we clamp the homemade work in the drill or screwdriver's chuck, it is better to set low revs. The author holds the processed pipe with his hands, which is not very convenient, as a result, the cut end of the pipe is neatly processed. The author also, for demonstration, hammered the end of the bolt with a hammer, after which he quickly processed the end with his homemade product and was able to screw the nut onto the bolt.
