I welcome all fans to craft, I propose to consider instructions for making a useful nozzle for a drill from a broken grinder. Homemade is a trimmer that can trim grass near the garage, on a seasonal dacha and not only. As a basis, a reducer from a grinder is used, which when operating in the reverse position produces high revolutions. Such home-made becomes especially convenient when using a cordless drill. Materials and tools used by the author:

Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Gearbox preparation
To begin with, we disassemble the grinder, we get the gearbox with an anchor. The anchor needs to be cut off with a hacksaw for metal or a grinder, knock down the remaining anchors and get the axis. On the axis we need to cut the thread, a long nut is screwed onto the thread. This will be the gearbox output where the trimmer line will be placed.
The shaft on the other hand will be connected to the axis that the drill rotates. Since the axes will be connected at an angle, we need a hinge, it can be a cross from a small cardan or a cross from a set of wrenches. We drill a hole for attaching the crosspiece, cut the thread and so on.
Step Two Collect the barbell
We are assembling the bar, we need a piece of metal pipe, preferably with a thin wall, so that the homemade product is easy. Radial bearings must be installed in the pipe, for their installation the author cut out gum. You can also find a rubber hose of such a diameter that bearings can be pressed into it. Thanks to the rubber, the bearings will sit tight in the rod, and such an approach can compensate for the curvature of the shaft.
You can install the shaft, the author used two threaded rods, connecting them to each other with a nut.To get the stops, put the nuts on the shaft in the right places, and as a reliable stop, it would be nice to weld the washer to the rod.
Step Three Assembly
We assemble the homemade product, install the gearbox on the bar, for this the author uses plumbing parts. As a result, the gearbox will be fixed at a certain angle, we connect the axles with a cross.
We put a clamp for water pipes on the rod, and we attach a handle for the grinder to it. That's all, it remains to pinch the end of the axis in the drill cartridge and can be tested.
Step Four Test
As a working body, the author first put a metal cable, but such a "fishing line" will quickly break, get confused and so on. But if you put a piece of fishing line for trimmers, homemade works perfectly. The author easily mows grass, burdocks and other vegetation.
As a result, the trimmer turned out to be cordless, the author’s drill on the battery.
