When creating an aquarium, the author uses the tire from the car, after cleaning it from pollution. It will serve as the basis for creating an unusual shape of the aquarium. To do this, the tire must be installed on level ground to prevent the possibility of falling. However, the author does not bother with such trifles and does his work “as is”. Next, cement mortar is diluted. Then he takes an ordinary piece of cloth and immerses in a container with cement. It must be liquid enough to saturate the fabric sufficiently. Having withstood and soaked the fabric in cement, the author pulls it out, puts it on top of the tire and straightens the material. A metal wire for reinforcement is installed on top of the fabric. In the same way, the author proceeds with a second piece of fabric - he soaks it in a solution and puts it on top of the first on a wire. All in all - several layers of fabric and wire will give the required margin of safety after the product dries. After that, cement is applied with a brush to the fabric, glossing over not soaked parts of the canvas. After all these steps, the workpiece should dry out very well. The author gives drying 24 hours.
While the main part dries, the author proceeds to manufacture the next, no less important - stand for aqua. For this, a second tire is needed, from which a little less than half is cut off. Does this with a grinder.Then, using a drill and a crown to it, in several places two holes are drilled for plastic pipes, which he cuts from a common piece. The length of these support tubes by the author is 20 cm. Supports need not be made too high, because this will not give stability to the product.
The resulting supports are inserted into the holes in the tire. Then all the cavities are filled with cement mortar so that the structure is stable, strong and can withstand the weight of the tank with filling.
The next step is to make a bed for the aquarium tank. To do this, the author imposes a paper pad on the first blank to separate the layers of the solution.
A layer of cement is placed on the gasket, on top of it is a welded mesh for rigidity. On top of it is another layer of solution. Thoroughly decomposed and left until the solution completely set and dry. After that, the protruding ends of the pipes are cut at such an angle so that a shelf can be installed on them.
The dried container is removed from the tire and installed in a previously prepared place. The author primers and stains the aquarium and stands. Joints are coated with cement mortar.
After that, glass is cut out - the front wall of the aquarium. A sealant is glued on the inside of the aquarium so that it presses it against the walls of the tank with water pressure, rather than squeezing it out. After the sealant has dried, the test is about to begin. Water is poured and the author looks for leaks. Then the water is pumped out and the aquarium is filled with contents - decor and plants. The backlight is set.
