In modern furniture stores, as well as on the Internet, you can find a huge variety of newspaper and magazine stands. Even better, you can create an extremely stylish and elegant stand yourself.
- copper tube 2 m long
- meter
- pencil
- 12 right angle connectors
- super glue or silicone
- pipe cutter
1. Mark with a pencil the places where you want to cut off the tube.
It is necessary to obtain items in the following quantity and dimensions:
- 4 things. x 10 cm
- 2 pcs. x 8 cm
- 2 pcs. x 30 cm
- 4 things. x 21 cm.
If you have a copper pipe shorter than 2 meters, reduce the size proportionally.
2. Cut 12 elements.
Since pipe cutting tools come in many types and can be either manual or electric, choose the one that you think will cut best.
3. Connect the individual elements.
Take one of the 8 cm tubes and apply glue at both ends.
Attach one corner at a time, gently wiping off any excess glue.
After you have connected the corners at both ends, apply glue from one end to two 10 cm tubes. As a result, you will create a U-shaped element.
Make another such element using the remaining 8 cm tubes and the remaining two 10 cm tubes. Allow the adhesive to dry completely.
Apply glue to the four ends and connect the corners one by one. Glue them so that they are all in the same direction, face up. Again, wait for the glue to dry.
Attach one 21 cm tube to each corner. In anticipation of achieving maximum glue strength, take two 30 cm tubes and glue one corner to the four ends. Again, everyone should stand face up.
The last thing you need to do is to glue the three elements together.
Wait for the glue to dry, and now you can use your new magazine holder.
