It all started with the fact that I saw on the Internet an article about a makeshift smokehouse, but it was too complicated in design. Somehow an old pressure cooker caught my eye and I thought, why not try to make a smokehouse out of it.
We need a pressure cooker itself.
First, remove the valve from the cover, it is not needed.
Next, you need to cut the grate, the diameter of the pressure cooker and the height to the middle of the pressure cooker. I cut out a stainless lattice, I don’t even know why.
We need a metal strip, bend it as in the photo.
We put the resulting ring from a strip of metal and fall asleep sawdust, I have sawdust from cherries.
Next, we select a plate that is suitable in diameter, but not too large so that small gaps remain between the edges of the plate and the walls of the pressure cooker, the plate is needed for draining fat so that the fat does not drip to the bottom and does not burn, thereby not spoiling the quality of the product.
Install the grate.
Next, lay out what we are going to smoke, in my case it’s chicken (you can meat or fish)
We close the lid, on the fitting where the valve was put on a hose to remove smoke, I brought the hose into an exhaust hood, but it can also be in the window.
Smoke over high heat for 30-35 minutes. Look what beautiful and tasty smoked meats turn out.
Bon Appetit!!!
