To implement the idea you need a board a couple of centimeters thick, and a flat magnet. And if the board still has a notch on the other hand, then it’s fine - the main thing is to find a magnet of the desired shape under it. I found such a magnet in the local flea market. The red price for him on a market day is 50 rubles. The magnet is flat, in the form of a ring - it can easily be attached to the back of the board. If there is no hole, it doesn’t matter. You can hollow out the recess with a chisel, break the magnet into several parts, and glue all the parts to the tree in the recess with some super-glue.
The board itself with a magnet attached to the back side must be attached to the wall in the kitchen. This can be done if only one hole is drilled in the center of the board. The screw that you insert into this hole will pass through the board and through the central hole in the magnet, reliably fixing the entire structure. It remains only to lean the knife against the board - and he will not go anywhere. If you have a small indentation, then it is better to hang the board in two loops.
