The fact is that I really like UltoBaits jerks.
And according to their tradition, I began to call new Jerky women names.
Jerkbait Marina 13F has a length of 130mm and a mass of 59 grams, swims, in the water has a slight roll to the nose. (The material is Pine.) And the manufacturing technology of my dzherkov is quite simple and does not require extra costs.
So, let's begin:
We take a piece of wood that is suitable in size and thickness and draw the outline of our jerk:
Next, using a conventional jigsaw, we cut the workpiece along the contour
Next, we clamp the workpiece into a vice and drill holes in the manner shown in the photo.
The depth of the loading holes (large) depends on the desired degree of buoyancy.
Then you need to give the workpiece a shape: Round the edges and narrow to the tail.
For processing, I use a set for woodcarving and a sandpaper on a fabric basis of different grain sizes.
As a result, we should get such a blank
The next step is pasting loops and filling the load:
I make loops from ordinary paper clips - I think that bait should be cheap and it takes a lot of time to rust. I glue the loops on Poxipol glue. Keeps perfect.
With a 100W soldering iron, I melt the tin and add a little lead and pour it all into the hole, leaving a side of about 3 mm. Next, take a thermo-plug and fill the holes to the end. Then we wait until the glue hardens and with a sharp knife we cut off the excess glue.
Now you need to impregnate the bait: I use liquid glass as an impregnation.
I put it in a jar and leave it for 3 hours. Then we pull out the bait from the jar and blow dry the bait with heating with a hairdryer. The main thing to remember is that hot melt is flooded and it can leak if it is heated too much.
Well - the bait is almost ready. Remained painting and varnishing.
With this stage, I have always been not very good.
But maybe I came to the conclusion that fish artistry is painted on the drum - I paint with ordinary gouache and rods from gel pens. Sponge painting.
At the expense of varnish:
I use varnish for cars - it does not yellowness and is strong enough, but at the moment the varnish is over and I have used the proven option - Yacht varnish.
It gives yellowness, but it is not so important.
It is necessary to cover 5 layers. You can do more, but yellowness will increase.
And here's what happened:
In conclusion, I want to say that jerk is one of the easiest lures to perform.
If you have questions - ask!
In the future I hope to expose my new developments on bait.
