Bird feeders

So the long-awaited spring came, the sun shone, the foliage on the trees blossomed, the gardens bloomed. Migratory birds flew from the far south, after a long journey they were very starving and really want to eat. But there are still no fruits on trees and bushes and there is practically nothing for birds - people should help them survive, namely, make feeders, fill them with bird food and hang them on the street in easily accessible places. The simplest feeder can be made from a plastic bottle in home conditions:


To make a bird feeder, we need a plastic bottle with a volume of one to two liters (the best is square), a piece of wood, and a piece of nylon thread about three millimeters thick. Of the tools you need a sharp clerical or simple kitchen knife:


All operations for making a bird feeder are best done on a stable table with a flat surface. With a knife, carefully and without undue effort, at a height of ten centimeters from the bottom, cut a square hole seven by ten centimeters in the side wall of the bottle. In order not to cut yourself while making a cut, it is best to firmly press the bottle to the table. The next step is to make a hearth by which the birds will go into the feeder.

To do this, take a piece of wood prepared in advance and cut from it the required pole twelve centimeters long and five millimeters in diameter. With the same knife, cut a hole a centimeter below the entrance to the feeder and insert a six into it. The feeder is almost ready, it remains to hang it for something on a tree, for this we attach a nylon thread to the neck and tighten it with a cork. Now we are ready to welcome the birds.
