All fishermen know that when fishing, especially fishing with white, “peaceful” fish, most of the time you need to be in one place. Each fisherman also thought about how to ensure a more or less comfortable stay on the beach in anticipation of a bite. Many people use folding chairs for this, but unfortunately there are very few variations of such products in stores, and those that are for sale are either very uncomfortable or rather bulky. Today we want to tell you about the most convenient and, most importantly, very compact version of the manufacture of such a chair do it yourself.
To begin with, we will need shovel cuttings, yes, because they will serve us as the basis, namely the legs for our camping chair. You can purchase them at any hardware store. Next, you should cut these cuttings into three identical parts, each approximately 60 centimeters long. Here everyone can choose for themselves the most convenient height based on their own growth and preferences.
At the next stage, you need to drill through holes at a distance of 25 centimeters from the top of our chair, and make the bottom of the legs round, using an emery or file for this.
At the end of each leg, a narrow hole is also drilled for screws that will serve as fasteners for the seat. Having done the above steps, you can proceed to the manufacture of the seat itself, for which it is desirable to use leather or tarpaulin, substitutes and durable fabrics are also suitable, which after serving their term can always be replaced. But remember that the material must be strong enough, especially with regard to seat angles, so that when you use it for the first time, it will not tear, depriving you of comfortable fishing.
Having cut the desired shape out of the skin with the help of a boot or assembly knife, we make three holes in its corners using a punch or an awl.
At one of the corners, you can make an extra pair of holes for the belt. The belt will serve us as a kind of guard against opening the chair during transportation.Next, you should saturate the skin with a special wax-based compound in order to give our seat a water-repellent effect.
Next, you need to assemble the prepared elements together.
First, connect a couple of legs. We do this with a long bolt and nut, inserting between them an expandable 2-spacer anchor with a ring. After you have tightened all the nuts, you can proceed to the next step, namely the fastening of the seat itself, which is carried out using the same screws. Also do not forget to put washers under the head of the screws.
Thus, following clear instructions, you should get a compact and comfortable fishing chair, which you can also just sit by the fire on your summer cottage.
