People who are fond of fishing, hunting, or just lovers of long multi-day trips know firsthand that such a necessary thing as a tripod is an indispensable assistant in hiking trips.
Often, as a tripod, tourists use a pair of catkins found in the forest and put a crossbar on it and never thought about how to make a convenient and, most importantly, compact tripod on their own, and if they thought about it, they simply decided that this process would take a lot of them time. Undoubtedly, in the forest you can find all the materials necessary for this, but you can buy this item in specialized stores, but again, not everyone wants to sacrifice a certain amount (by the way, considerable), for three pieces of metal or wander through the forest in search of suitable wood. Today we will tell you how to make an easy and compact tripod in home conditions.
To make a tripod we need:
- mounting DIN rail (3 meters), which can be purchased at any hardware store;
- nuts and screws, instead of the usual nut, it is better to use a wing nut also known as a wing nut, but if one is not available, you can use the standard version;
- a cable or steel wire, about 30 centimeters long and 3 mm in diameter;
- strong chain.
Tripod assembly
Saw the DIN-rail into three identical parts, i.e. each piece should be equal to one meter. Next, we cut each meter bar in half, so that in the end we get six 50-centimeter rails. The next step will be drilling holes at the ends of three rails for subsequent fastening with a ring of wire, which can be replaced with a triangle of the same wire, but here everyone will decide for themselves which mount is more convenient and aesthetic.
Now, using the wing nuts and screws, we increase the height of the device, fastening the components of the tripod together.
Having done all the above steps, it remains to fix the last detail of the tripod - the chain. For this, an ordinary nail is quite suitable, at the end of which you can bend the loop, or you can twist the letter "M" and thread it into the chain link.
If you did everything right, then you should get a rather compact and at the same time very durable tripod, the size of which, in the assembled state, will be only 50 centimeters, which will undoubtedly please any tourist.In principle, there is a huge number of variations in the design of a tripod for a pot, among which, metal pipes welded at an angle, you can also create a structure with several hooks for cooking several dishes at once, etc.
