Mini-greenhouse takes up little space, which is especially true in small areas. In addition, she is mobile; perfectly placed in any corner of the plot, a mini-greenhouse will not create problems. And with sharp changes in the weather, it will reliably protect the crop.
How to make?
Expensive materials for creating a greenhouse will not be useful to you. A box is made of several boards fastened together with nails or self-tapping screws. The greenhouse frame is designed for a height of about 60 cm.
Mini-greenhouses can be of different configurations or sizes. However, a length of 3 m and a width of 2.5 m will be optimal.
First you need to clean the weeds, level the ground and cover the film or black agrofiber where you are going to put the greenhouse.
Crushed stone or gravel is poured at the bottom of the box. It will be a drainage. Its height is about 2 cm. A soil layer of 50 cm is poured on top. The soil must first be fertilized, because various microelements will provide better plant nutrition, which means a good harvest.
Now you need to make the frame. Frame arcs can be made from bent plastic water pipes - they are quite light and strong. In addition, arcs can be made from an old watering hose. For its greater plasticity, you can insert willow rods inside, which bend very well. In places of fastening of arcs to a box we attach pegs. The ends of the pipes are inserted into the pegs. To prevent the film from sagging from above, the distance between the frame arcs should be no more than 40 cm. From above, we attach and fasten one transverse arc over the entire length of the greenhouse. This arc will give the entire structure greater stability and protect the greenhouse from possible distortions.
For different types of plants, you can make several greenhouses. So, for tomatoes, the greenhouse can be low, and for example, for cucumbers a high frame is required.
Greenhouse use
Before sowing plants in the spring, the soil in the box of the greenhouse must be moistened and heated with hot water. Plants will not be stressed due to temperature changes, and with the advent of heat it will be enough to remove the film from them. To prevent plants from overheating in the summer, they can be protected with any non-woven material located on arcs. Weed weed in the greenhouse will have much less than in open ground.
Boxes of small greenhouses can be decorated in various ways and grow a variety of greens in them.
