To create your own airbrush will need the following materials: an ordinary ballpoint pen, a wine cork and a small glass jar in which the paint will be placed.
The necessary materials are collected, you can get down to business.
First, you need to disassemble the ballpoint pen and blow the paste from the rod. This can be done by mouth, but for safety reasons, you can initially buy a syringe, warm its nose with a regular lighter and flare it with any material at hand, such as a barbecue skewer, so that the handle shaft enters it. Rinse the paste from the rod with alcohol or water.
The first stage is over. Now you need to cut a small corner on a wine cork with a depth of one and a half centimeters. For cutting, you can use a clerical knife.
When the corner is cut out, it is necessary to make a hole in the middle of the cork so that the rod from the ballpoint pen passes through it. You also need to make a separate passage on the side of the cork so that the bottom of the ballpoint pen passes through it.
The lower part of the ballpoint pen should be slightly expanded with sandpaper and pass it through the side hole in the cork.
The next step is to draw the handle rod through the bottom hole on the cork, which we did first.
On the lid of the jar, you need to open another hole the size of the ballpoint pen rod, pass it through this hole and fix everything with hot-melt adhesive, which will also ensure tightness. In some cases, the handle shaft may be longer than the glass jar used. In this case, it is only necessary to cut off the excess part of the rod. It is important that the rod does not reach the bottom of the jar.
That's all. Airbrush or spray gun is ready. It remains only to dilute the paint and pour it into a jar.Paint can be different, which means that exact and specific proportions of dilution do not exist. However, it should be noted that the paint in the jar should be slightly thicker than water.
In order for the airbrush to work according to its main purpose, it is only necessary to blow through the back of the ballpoint pen body. Although the airbrush is not intricate in its design, it does its job well.
