So, to create your own glue gun, we need:
- Teflon tape or other non-stick coating,
- a piece of tin that can be cut from a tin can,
- copper wire,
- silicone core,
- wooden block,
- an ordinary small boiler.
The materials are ready, you can begin to manufacture a glue gun.
The first step is to make a wooden handle. To do this, measure the lower part of the boiler, which, as a rule, is 6-7 centimeters and translate the dimensions on a wooden block. You should pay attention to the fact that the dimensions were moved twice, since the handle will be made of two parts. After that, it remains only to cut off two parts, make a small recess so that both parts of the handle can be attached to each other and the middle of the boiler does not interfere. Finally, you can round the handle slightly so that the handle is comfortable to hold in your hand.
The wooden handle is ready. The next step is to wrap the middle part of the boiler with Teflon tape so that it does not heat the wood, and then fasten the two parts of the handle with screws or electrical tape.
Next, you need to take care of the chamber, in which the hot melt will melt. The tin from the tin can will need to be cut into two even parts with a width of 8 and a length of 15 centimeters approximately.
The first piece should be wound on a silicone rod, and from the second cut off a separate piece with a width of 5 and a length of 7 centimeters. From this piece you need to create a small bag and attach it to the first piece, passing both pieces through the passage in the lower part of the boiler, wrapping them with copper wire for fixing.
Cool gun is almost ready. To use it, it is enough to connect the gun to the outlet, wait until it heats up and lightly press on the silicone rod.
Attention!!! It is advised not to plug a homemade glue gun directly into a power outlet.It is better to use an extension cord with a regulator to regulate the power of the boiler, which without water heats up to record temperatures, which can lead to rapid wear.
