Toy from the 90s, do-it-yourself chainsaw

Modern toys have long ceased to please the current child, and remember how we used to make toys only with the help of thread and cork, and we could play with it until it breaks.

We offer to watch a video homemade:

For a chainsaw from improvised tools you will need:
- cork from a plastic bottle;
- 2 rings with spikes from a plastic bottle, the rings should be turned out;
- a button, in size it should easily go inside the cork;
- kapron thread, about 80 cm long, not very thin;
- a small piece of plasticine;
- awl;
- lighter.

So, let's begin. In the cork, we make two holes in the center. The holes in the cork should correspond to the button hole. In order not to be mistaken, simply attach the button to the lid and, where there are holes in the button, punch them with an awl.

If the holes seemed too narrow for you, then they can be expanded slightly. To do this, heat the tip of the awl with fire. Under the influence of warm metal, holes made of plastic, without extra effort, very quickly become the size you need.

Next, take the kapron thread. The thread should not be too thin, ideally its diameter should resemble half the diameter of the lace. The thickness of the thread should be such that it does not break at the most inopportune moment.

We singe the ends of the thread so that it does not open.

After we have melted the ends of the thread - we pass one of the ends into the hole of the cork. Then we take the button and thread the same end of the thread into the button hole. It is important that the button is obtained inside the lid.

At the same end of the thread, but already starting from the button, we again thread a hole. We should get a button and a cork on a thread. On the button, the thread will go into both holes of the lid, and two identical pieces of rope should stick out from the lid.

Next, we take clay, we will need a small piece that we need to warm up a little in our hands so that it becomes soft and can take any shape we need. From it we first sculpt a thin sausage, and then we turn it into a ring.

A plasticine ring should be no larger in diameter than the cap.We stick it to the inside of the lid. You can not use plasticine, but we need it so that the cork is heavier and the button does not fly off.

Now we put the button on the plasticine and press.

Then we get to work with the thread. On the one hand, two ends should hang out, and the second end of the thread resembles an arc. From the side where the ends just hang out - we connect them.

After we knit the ends, we should get a design resembling a chain on the neck with pendant. The role of the chain is silk thread, the role of the pendant is cork with a button.

Then comes the turn of the rings. Be sure to see that the spikes go one way. Rings must be worn on the side of the cork.

In the end, we should get a menacing toy with which the children played about 15 years ago.

Our cork should be in the middle, and we will hold onto the ends of the thread.

What with a cork in this form can be done. Not many modern children will understand this toy, but you try to demonstrate. The thread in both hands, you need to start to unwind clockwise. When the thread is thoroughly twisted, it should not be let go, start making movements with your hands, as if playing an accordion.

With this thing you can cut paper, cockroaches, bugs, grass in the meadow.
