Many people like to hike, travel, canoe along the turbulent rivers. Therefore, if you are going on a regular trip, well, or just relaxing with friends, do not forget to bring matches for a bonfire. Indeed, without fire it will be really difficult to eat. Often, campers are caught in bad weather and rain. And it’s not always possible to manage to hide all things in a dry place, especially matches that get wet quickly and dry for a very long time. In order not to be left without fire and once again surprise your friends with your ingenuity, a simple design of a waterproof case is offered to your attention, you can keep matches dry on the court in the court.
Previously, a similar design was added to the site waterproof case, be sure to check out.
Let's see how the author does it homemade:
To make a waterproof case for matches, we need the following:
- 2 necks from a plastic bottle with traffic jams;
- Matchbox;
- boron machine;
- glue gun;
- blade.
So, dull to work. First of all, with the help of a boron machine, we need to cut off the necks from plastic bottles, exactly under the border near the twisted lid. If you don’t have a boron machine, then you can use a knife and a lighter to make the cut as even as possible. When the necessary cuts are made, it is necessary to level the place of the cut, to make it smoother.
As a result, we get two identical equal and neat blanks. It is necessary to try on so that they fit snugly together in places of slices. If necessary, if everything is some kind of bumps, trim again.
The blanks connected to each other must match the size of the matchbox so that the match can fit easily there.
Using a glue gun, gently coat the edges of both workpieces. Do not spare the glue, try to smear each as thoroughly as possible.
After the layer is applied, we connect the workpieces to each other in places of slices, tightly pressing against each other. Leave under the press until the glue completely dries.
When the glue has dried, with the help of a blade we very carefully cut off the excess glue protruding at the junction of the workpieces.
A waterproof match case is ready.
Now you can check the quality of the work done. Unscrew one of the plugs, place it inside the match, tighten the plug tightly. We take a glass of water and lower the case into the water. If, after such an experiment, the matches remained dry - the design was completed correctly.
