There are times when we are so grabbed by a good grinding machine. Today, of course, you can purchase almost any tool or machine in a specialized store, however, the best machine is a machine created with your own hands. Therefore, we will try to make a grinding machine from a hard drive from an old computer.

In order to create your own grinding machine, we need:
- HDD;
- Grinding wheel;
- A small round bar that is inserted into the hole in the circle;
- A cover from a five-liter plastic bottle;
- Long nails of small diameter;
- Power Supply.
First of all, we disassemble our hard drive and remove all unnecessary.
Next, take our cap and make a hole so that it is mounted on the middle of the hard drive. This is necessary because the grinding wheel does not reach the middle part. An alternative way could be sawing the sides of the hard drive in order to free access, but this process is very time-consuming.
Next, glue the nails to the middle of the hard drive.
Next, drive a small block into the nails. For greater fixation, you can use a glue gun.
The grinding machine is almost ready. It remains only to take care of connecting to a source of electricity. In our case, it will be a power supply from an old personal computer. Such a connection is convenient because the power supply is designed to connect a hard drive, which means that you do not need to redo anything.
Since the grinding wheel has a slightly larger mass, the hard drive will “dance” when turned on. The reason for this is clear - it is simply not intended for such a mass. Therefore, for stationary use of the grinding machine, it is advised to carefully fix it on a flat surface.
A grinding machine from a hard drive copes with small and simple tasks and can be useful in the household.
