A cup holder is a necessary thing, because no one wants to ruin your beloved furniture because of a hot cup of coffee. A beautiful and original cup holder can be not only a solution to the problem, but also a beautiful addition to the interior decor. Especially if the decor is chosen in the style of computer technology, then a cup holder made from an old keyboard will be a great way to emphasize your favorite business or hobby.
So, let's see the author’s video, which describes the process of making a homemade cup holder, and then try to repeat it.

To create a beautiful and creative cup holder we need:
- The usual computer keyboard;
- Blue LED;
- A small piece of organic glass.
First of all, we need to disassemble our keyboard to separate the buttons from the case. We unscrew the rear bolts, remove the case, film, rubber bands under the keys. Buttons are removed by extrusion.
Next, we take a piece of organic glass and put the buttons on it in such a sequence and shape that we want to see our cup holder. The author, for example, got 25 buttons in five rows and five columns.
We take two sets of 25 keys to arrange the first 25 at the top, and the second at the bottom.
We make a contour on organic glass, cut it. We also need to break all the long parts at the base of the keys, with the help of which they are attached to the case, so that it is easier to glue and fix in one position.
We take our buttons and glue them sequentially on organic glass.
Next, with the help of a file, we sharpen and align the side parts of the organic glass so that everything is even and looks beautiful.
Outwardly, our cup holder is almost ready. It can be left in this form, or you can give even more originality using the backlight. To do this, we take the most ordinary blue LED, which will be powered from the USB of the same keyboard from which we removed and used the keys.
We need to solder the LED, insert it into the plexiglass.In order to insert the LED into the organic glass, we need to drill it slightly.
We drill, glue, connect and admire the creative cup holder created in home conditions.
