1. After repair, it is very difficult to clean the windows stained with paint. Scrape the stains with something sharp, and then rub them with a cloth soaked in vinegar.
2. And before painting, you can rub the glass with a bulb cut in half - this will make it easy to remove paint stains from the glass.
3. To paint the frames well without staining the glass, you can stick adhesive tape to the glass. After the frames have dried, the tape will be removed and you will not have to scrape the blade with glass. Take care of your nerves and time.
4. If there is a stain on the glass from dried clerical glue, they can be removed in the following way: anoint the stains with any alcohol-containing compound and set fire to it. After that, the glue is easily removed with a knife.
5. If the adhesive tape or wet newspaper is glued along the groove applied on the glass with a glass cutter, then when tapped, the crack will go exactly along the desired line.
6. A crack in a window pane can be made invisible with a clear varnish. Transparent film holds well, does not catch the eye and does not wash off. It is better to apply varnish from the outside.
7. Before painting metal frames of furniture, strips, pipes, etc. wipe them with a rag dipped in vinegar and let dry. The paint will be easier to lay down and better hold.
8. The brushes with which you whitewashed the ceilings and painted the walls, put in soapy water at night. The next day they will only need to be rinsed - they will be cleaned well.
9. If the door creaks, lift it slightly up with the handle of a hammer, ax or scrap metal, and coat the hinges with machine oil or pork fat. After that, open and close the door several times until the grease is distributed along the hinge axes. Then lower the door, setting it to its normal position.
10. If the door sticks, check if it closes well. If the door touches the floor, it is enough to raise it by 1-2 mm, putting metal washers on the hinge axis or replace them with a hard alloy wire wound around a metal core with a diameter equal to the diameter of the hinge. Remove the door from the hinges, grease them and, after installing the washer or wire, put them in place.
11. If the key is difficult to turn in the lock, rub it with wax or soap.
