At the cottage or in the suburban area, the purchased antenna does not always catch the necessary wave of the channel. And if you come to the country only for the summer. I don’t really want to buy such an expensive antenna there. Therefore, the cheapest option is to make an antenna do it yourself to receive a particular channel.

To create an antenna, we need to prepare:
- 0.5 m cable;
- F-connector;
- adapter;
- nippers;
- stationery knife;
- roulette;
- a pen;
- paper.
An adapter is required to switch from the F-connector to the TV.
We need a pen and a sheet of paper in order to make calculations on it to calculate the wavelength. For this you need to know the frequency of the desired channel, in MHz. We also need to learn lambda. For this, we divide the speed of light by our frequency. Round the resulting lambda length in meters and divide by four. As a result, we get the length in cm.
Now install the F-connector on the cable. With a clerical knife, we cut the cable at a distance of about 2 cm from the edge and remove the insulation.
The shielding braid or foil screen must be twisted. We cut the braid under the screen and remove it. We cut the inner braid and also remove it.
We still have a bare central core, on which we begin to wind the F-connector. If an extra piece of the central conductor sticks out, then cut it off.
Now, using a tape measure, mark the distance from the connector 2 cm on the cable and measure out our calculated quarter wave from it.
Nippers bite off on the marked line. And on the marked first mark we make an incision with a clerical knife. Remove insulation. We also remove the screen or the shielding braid, cut off completely, we do not need it. The lavsan braid is also removed as unnecessary.
Now bend the cable and wind the adapter from the F-connector to the TV.
We connect the received antenna to the prefix. Please note that reception will be much better if you position the antenna horizontally.
Now you can catch the desired channel, tune the TV to receive it and enjoy TV shows.
Such an antenna will not cost a lot of money. In addition, for each channel, you can make your own mini antenna, you only have to spend money on connectors and adapters. And they cost significantly less than buying a new antenna.
