If you want to decorate your room in a medieval style, then an ideal option would be to apply Venetian plaster. It will give the room a unique sophistication and emphasize the sophisticated taste of the owners.

To work, you need to prepare the following tools and materials:
- furry soft roller;
- capacity for a primer;
- an electric drill with a nozzle for mixing;
- Venetian trowel;
- two spatulas 30 cm and 15 cm;
- a surface polishing machine with a nozzle designed for polishing wax;
- primer;
- several jars of color;
- plaster;
- wax.
We prepare the walls
Before creating Venetian plaster, you need to thoroughly prepare the vertical surface. Walls are carefully leveled, putty with special latex putty.
After the wall dries, it will need to be treated with a primer, which is designed for deep penetration. This is important for leveling the absorbency of the surface, and also prevents the formation of unpleasant fungi or molds.
The primer dries within 12 hours. However, it is best to wait at least a day before moving on to the next step.
After this, you can begin to process the walls with a covering primer. It will significantly increase the adhesion properties of the surface.
For this method of application, the soil must be tinted. In this case, the color should be approximately the same in which the Venetian plaster itself will be painted.
Kohler is added to the primer and mixed. We apply it to the walls using a roller, in hard-to-reach places - a brush. The covering primer dries out completely in just a couple of hours.
After the surface has completely dried, it is cleaned with a spatula.
We prepare the material
Venetian plaster mixed with dye. The resulting mass is thoroughly mixed with the help of a special nozzle on the “mixer” drill. To make the color uniform, the mixing process must be at least 4 minutes, otherwise the unevenness of the tone may be noticeable on the wall. After drying, the color of the plaster does not change, so no preliminary painting is necessary. Try to prepare the right amount of plaster at a time, because the second time it will be impossible to get exactly that shade.Do best with a small margin.
The material is applied to the surface 30 cm with a spatula or Venetian trowel. Plaster should be put in at least 2 layers, and preferably in three. When applying Venetian plaster, unevenness, even some carelessness, is needed. It is applied, with the edge of a trowel, using the method “from a dry place to a wet one”. This is necessary so that there are no visible points of contact for each stroke.
Such plaster hardens quickly enough for about two hours. Hardening time depends on the humidity of the room.
After the surface is completely dry, it is treated with a spatula. In exactly this way a second coat should be applied.
The final, final layer must be applied 15 cm with a spatula to the “sidir", the layer leaves in this case transparent.
Sixty minutes is enough to start ironing. The surface is glossy and a pattern appears. The complexity of the work lies in the fact that it is very easy to scratch the plaster or tear off a small area, which can no longer be fixed.
We carry out the finishing
In order to protect the surface from excessive moisture, and to be able to wet it, a decorative wax must be applied to the plaster. This must be done using a trowel or a 15 cm trowel. Wax is applied only 24 hours after the Venetian plaster has been applied. It is important to follow. so that the wax layer is as very very thin and uniform as possible. This will protect the walls from cracking and peeling.
In 30-50 minutes after this, it will be possible to start polishing the wax with a previously prepared polishing machine. Grinding is done until a uniform, glossy surface is obtained. The total drying time of the wax is 14 days.
