A small (almost pocket) retractable saw is useful if you decide to go to the woods for barbecue, and there is no place for a large saw, and you also do not have the largest saw. A home-made saw perfectly cuts small pieces of wood, branches and many other items. In addition, the blade tip protects the plastic case from the clerical knife.

We will need:
- An ordinary stationery knife, you can take it with long-used blades;
- a cloth from a hacksaw for metal;
- drill and drill.
First of all, we need to remove the old blade from the casing knife body. This is done very simply. Each clerical knife has a back cover that can be removed. We remove this cover and take out the blade.
Now we need to fix the canvas in the holder, and for this we need to either reduce the stump on the holder or increase the hole on the file, which should be mounted on the stump.
We will increase the hole, and for this we need a conventional drill, which is slightly larger in diameter than the hole on the file.
Then we apply the canvas to the body of the clerical knife to determine the required length. The excess piece of canvas is simply broken off. When you break off a piece of canvas, be safe, you can injure your hands. Better wrap the place that you will break off with a towel.
The fixed web now needs to be inserted into the knife and closed with a protective cover.
