Do-it-yourself monopod

Selfie - this word has recently become one of the most popular and often used throughout the world. This word refers to photographs in which the author takes himself. Many will agree that taking selfies with your bare hands is sometimes very difficult and inconvenient, especially if you want to capture more objects in the background. To facilitate this task, you can purchase a selfie stick or a monopod, but we suggest not to rush and get acquainted with this material, in which we will consider the method of making a monopod with your own hands.

What do we need:
- building hair dryer;
- screwdriver;
- drill 4-5 mm;
- polypropylene pipe with a diameter of 20 mm;
- a clamp;
- a small bolt of 6 mm;
- a strap from shoes;
- glue gun;
- a piece of foam rubber 30 to 30 cm.

We sorted out the materials. You can start assembling the monopod. First of all, we must heat up the upper part of the pipe with a building hairdryer and flatten it with a clamp.

Then we wait until the pipe cools down and remove the clamps. Check whether everything is done correctly.

After that, we again need to heat the pipe with a construction hairdryer, while bending the pipe with a clamp to get the camera angle. As for the angle of inclination, the author does not note any specific value, since this completely depends on the height of the person who will use the monopod.

Remove the clamp and use a clerical knife to carefully round the end of the pipe.

Next, in the middle, use a screwdriver or drill to make a through hole.

We proceed to the manufacture of the handle. We carefully wrap the free part of the pipe with foam rubber, gluing the foam rubber with hot glue.

Cut off the edges of the foam with a clerical knife.

For convenience, we need to install a strap under the handle. To do this, the first thing we do is make a hole under the foam rubber on one wall of the pipe.

With the installation of the belt there will be no problems.

Well, our monopod is almost ready. It remains only to attach the camera to it, or rather - screw it with a bolt. If the bolt is too long, then one washer or more can be used.
