If your computer mouse is bored with you, try improving it yourself. This modification of the mouse will allow you to see it in the dark, and even with intensive work at the computer, your hand will not sweat.
We will need:
- a small fan;
- two pairs of LEDs (preferably different colors).
Step 1
Dismantle the mouse to see all its contents, as in the photo. The picture has already made holes for air intake, you need to do the same. Then use a tester to find the power source. For example, for PS / 2 it is + 5V. If your mouse sits on the old COM port, you can find all 12V.
Step 2
Drill holes in the top cover. They will be needed for a fan that will cool your hand during operation.
Step 3
Now put some kind of net under the fan so that no small debris gets inside the mouse. In the photo you see both the grid and the fan. Just grab a very small 5V fan and spin without problems. You can fix all this with glue.
Step 4
Perhaps the most crucial step. Go to the LEDs. Connect them in parallel. The negative terminal should go to the switch (top right). The positive output has a resistor (in the photo in a red shell), it is needed to lower the voltage. It is selected by trial and error. Purple and yellow wires are needed to connect the fan. Attach all wires to the side walls - they should not interfere with the assembly of the mouse.
Step 5
Now carefully assemble. This will result in such a modified mouse.
Just like that, with a simple modification, you can give your old boring computer mouse a second life!
P.S. The first photo shows another version of the mouse modification, which is done in a similar way, only with cutting out the pattern you need to tinker longer. But such a computer mouse will look more original.
