The very method of obtaining a cracker is not very serious. It can also be called children's, but the result will certainly amaze with its volume. We also clarify that the larger the syringe, the better and louder the home-made cracker will sound.
First we need to seal the syringe nozzle. The author of the video uses a glue gun for this.
When the nozzle is sealed, if we push the piston in, pressure will prevent it. Next, we just need to load the gun with dry ice and shoot. The secret of this method is the unique feature of dry ice. This component is a solid form of CO2 gas. One cubic centimeter of dry ice contains much more than the volume of the gas itself. This means that when we put dry ice into the syringe, it will begin to expand. Since the nozzle of the syringe is closed, the only way out is to push the piston, resulting in a loud sound, similar to the sound that the clapper makes.
It is this property of dry ice that can be used to easily and quickly inflate balloons. To do this, you just need to place a small amount of this component in the ball, tie a knot and just wait until the ball itself is inflated.
Note that when extruding, the syringe plunger flies out at high speed. Therefore, you should not direct it at people and objects that may break.
