Often, a breadboard knife is more necessary than the usual clerical knife, since it allows you to cut small figures more accurately. Such knives are sold in many stores and supermarkets, but do not rush to a trip to the nearest store, as this video will discuss a video on self-production of a model knife.
First, let's watch the author’s video
We will need:
- old marker;
- a bolt with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 8 cm;
- lamb;
- nut;
- blade;
- key;
- pliers;
- file.
Let's start by choosing a marker. It should be of sufficient length and thickness so that the bolt we use can easily fit into it. Let's get started.
First of all, you need to make a cut on the bolt in order to install the blade in it. To do this, you can use a hacksaw for metal.
Next we remove the burrs using a file.
We put a lamb on the bolt.
After that, you need to cut the marker to the desired length, that is, so that part of the notched bolt remains outside.
After our marker is cut out, insert a bolt into it and a nut.
Finally, insert the blade into the slot on the bolt. For greater fixation on both sides of the blade, you can use a piece of paper.
Our breadboard knife is ready. It remains only to tighten it with a lamb and nut on both sides, after which it can be safely used in the manufacture of your own homemade. According to the author, such a knife has one important difference compared to mock knives sold in stores: a homemade knife is much heavier, which simplifies working with it.
