The author performed his work from the boards of an ordinary pallet. Having made such a shelf, you can not only beautifully place wine and glasses, but also become skilled in the performance of objects made of wood without any special expenses.
To complete the shelf, the author needed the following materials and tools:
- pallet
- drill with nozzles,
- electric jigsaw,
- electric planer,
- measuring instruments,
- carpentry glue,
- vise
- fasteners
Step 1.
The pallet must be carefully disassembled into separate boards.
Step 2
Next, you need to select three boards, measure the height of the shelf and cut the boards to size.
Step 3
Boards are very carefully sanded from all sides.
Next, you need to apply glue to the ends of the boards and glue the boards into one.
The width of the resulting glued board is measured and cut off the board to place the glasses.
Places for glasses are marked on the board.
Marked places are selected using the nozzle on the drill of the desired diameter.
From the selected holes, cuts are made in one direction, three more planks are cut and processed, from which a block for hanging glasses is glued.
Next, mark the location of the board for the bottle.
The board is cut to size, processed, and a round circular hole is made under the neck of the bottle.
The board and the block for glasses are seated on the front side are seated on glue, and on the back side are fixed on the screws.
If desired, such a shelf can be treated with impregnations and stains to achieve the desired result.
