In one of the past materials we did rocket launcher video review. In this article, the author does almost the same thing, only on a large scale, so we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the process.
So we need:
- a large polypropylene pipe;
- a cap to the pipe;
- tourist rug;
- adhesive tape;
- a lighter for a stove;
- glue gun;
- stationery knife.
Note that the tourist mat is also known as foam. According to the author, many people who make guns and rockets often use sparks. They take either piezoelectric elements or electric lighters and connect them to the combustion chamber, which, according to the author, is not so convenient, given that the spark often skips and ignition does not always occur, so he advises using ordinary lighters for the stove.
The first thing you need to do is a combustion chamber, which will be very simple. It is necessary to insert the plug into the pipe, gluing with hot glue for greater reliability.
Next, take any large-diameter nail, heat it and make a hole on the bottom of the pipe. The diameter of the hole should match the diameter of the top of the lighter.
We put the lighter into the hole we made and fix it well with a glue gun, thus ensuring the tightness of the combustion chamber in the lower part.
Let's start making rockets. To do this, take the mat and wrap it around the pipe. Cut the required length with a clerical knife.
We wrap the resulting piece of the mat on the pipe and fasten it with tape.
Stabilizers can be cut from the same mat as the author of the idea does. We glue them on the rocket with a glue gun.
The nose for the rocket can be made from a regular plastic bottle. To do this, cut off the top of the bottle and stick to the top of the rocket.
A large rocket launcher with a rocket is ready, you can safely experience it. As fuel for a rocket, you can use a regular deodorant or hair spray, which will ignite in the chamber and push the rocket out.
