Step 1: What You Need
• Boulder (stone)
• The back of the chair (you can use the old chair)
• epoxy resin
• Spray paint
• Hammer drill (drill)
• Drills (bits) for metal
• Ready trolley (if not ready, then we will prepare the materials specified in step 2)
• Protective glasses.
Step 2: Prepare materials for making the trolley
Prepare:
• 4 wheels
• 1 part plywood (approximately 61x61 cm)
• board length 122 cm
• 16 round head screws
• 16 washers
• 16 (or more) wood screws
• drill
• saw
• rubber mallet
• pencil
• protective glasses
Step 3: making the trolley
1. Measure the plywood.
2. Align the wood of the board with the length.
3. Saw the board in half.
4. Attach the wooden parts, they should form a square base.
5. Use a drill to attach them to the plywood.
6. Attach the clips to their future location and make marks with a pencil in the places where we will mount them.
7. Drill holes to secure the wheels.
8. Fasten the screws with a drill.
The trolley for transporting the future chair is ready.
Step 4: pick a stone
For the future chair, stone can be found in the forest, quarry, outside the city. Its surface should be flat and relatively comfortable to sit on.
Step 5: Preparing the Chair
Take the old chair, chisel and hammer, now disassemble it. With the whole structure, we only need a back.
After receiving it, cover with spray paint. Spray it quickly and evenly and let it dry completely.
Step 6: Perforate the Stone
Before starting work, mark the position of the planned holes. Be sure to wear safety glasses.
Select the appropriate size drill in the drill and start drilling.
Drill with a slight inclination that will correspond to the inclination of the back. The holes should not be too deep.
Step 7: Customize and Glue
We use epoxy resin with a brush or other tool on the inside of the holes, and with a rubber hammer, and fix the back of the chair.
Since this chair was made for placement in a public park, with the help of our trolley we deliver to the destination and install.
