For those who are not looking for easy solutions, but at the same time striving to make the atmosphere in their home full of style and personality, we offer an extraordinary solution - a table made of a wheel from an airplane from the Second World War.
To make a table, you need a piece of exhaust or another pipe, and the working part of the office chair is used as the basis: the table will have quite a lot of weight, and in such a simple way it can be given the desired mobility.
Step # 1: Wheel!
You will need the actual wheel from the plane. Of course, not everyone in the garage such a wheel was lying around, and one cannot buy it at an autodismantling, but on the Internet, at auctions, it is quite possible to get it. And if the wheel is with minor damage or defects, then the price will be quite attractive.
Step # 2: Installation
Before connecting all parts of the structure together, you need to install the tire and inflate it. The pressure in the chamber should be sufficient so that the bottles with beer and plates with appetizers stand on the glass "countertop" without problems and distortions.
Step # 3: Bottom
After the wheel is assembled and waiting for your further actions, choose a piece of corrugated plastic that is suitable in size and shape, which will cover the lower part of the wheel structure.
Step # 4: Foundation
When choosing a chair, pay attention to its strength and endurance, the weight of the table will be quite large.
Step 5: Pipe
The vertical basis for the table was the trim of the exhaust pipe. The pipe can be painted in silver, black or any other. If its diameter is larger than the diameter of the base of the chair, then fasten the parts with a suitable glue. To prevent its excess from getting inside the base of the chair, cover all excess holes with duct tape.
Step # 6: Sustainability
To thoroughly fix the wheel to the pipe, it is necessary to make eight wooden wedges. Choose strong wood, such as oak, so that during operation they do not crack and do not reduce all work to zero.
You may have other ideas on how to fix the wheel to the base.
Step number 7: close the excess
The junction of the base and wheel must be closed from prying eyes using lightweight plastic. You can fix it with hot glue.
Step # 8: Bumper
To prevent the wheel from scratching the glass surface at eight points on the wheel, place and fasten the transparent silicone bumpers.
Step # 9: Done!
Install a glass of suitable shape and size - the table is ready!
