If you grow decorative pumpkins in your garden, we offer you the opportunity to use them creatively and create a unique birdhouse that will delight you at any time of the year.
So, we need:
1. dried pumpkin
2. acrylic paints
3. brushes
4. hacksaw
5. paint roller
6. MDF panel to create a roof
7. sandpaper
First you need to take the dried pumpkin and make two holes.
1: Using a hacksaw, cut the pumpkin stalk to the diagonal, as shown in the photo.
2: We make a second hole in the center of the pumpkin with a diameter of 4 cm, which will serve as the entrance to the birdhouse.
With sandpaper we align the places of cuts.
The next step is to cover the entire surface of the pumpkin with white acrylic paint.
Let the paint dry completely, you can also use a hair dryer to speed up the process.
We re-paint the birdhouse, only now we use light green paint.
It's time to start decorating pumpkins. Mark with a pencil a small rectangle around the entrance to the birdhouse and apply vertical stripes with paints see (photo).
Draw a branch and other images on the birdhouse.
Now we draw the bolts, for this you can use the tip of a pencil.
The edges of the rectangle we have drawn, we make out as the entrance to the birdhouse. Cut the MDF sheet in half, so we get two parts for the roof and cover the surface with brown acrylic paint. Apply several colors to the sponge and cover the nesting box with the gradient formed.
We cover the entire pumpkin with a paint roller.
We fix the roof with liquid nails or glue.
