Barbecue made of stone at the cottage

When there is a stationary brazier built of stone in the garden or garden, this place is a real treasure. Especially on cool summer evenings. Here, near it, you can sit longer, admire the starry sky and listen to the singing of night birds and the croaking of frogs in a nearby pond, relax from daytime worries and enjoy the peace and quiet. And how good it is to put a rocking chair, pick up a book and sit by the fire, or just look at the fire and indulge in dreams or make friends on one of the quiet summer evenings, drunk with wonderful aromas of flowers.

However, we should not forget that the barbecue you have created is not only for aesthetics, but it is completely safe for you and your neighbors.

Step 1.
The first thing to do is determine the place in the garden or garden where you want to build a barbecue. It is desirable that there are no buildings and structures nearby.

Step 2
It is necessary to note the place where the grill will be located, determine its size. Determine where the center will be. Then, using a stick and a sufficiently strong rope half the diameter of the desired circle, draw a circle. If the diameter of the circle is 90 cm, then the tightly stretched rope should have a size of 45 cm. Mark its contours with paint - spray. These will be the dimensions of your pit.

Step 3
Dig a hole inside the circle to a depth of 9 centimeters. Pour there gravel and a few centimeters of sand onto a layer of gravel. To create a barrier to fire, which will intercept burning coals.

Step 4
Create walls around the lightset with stones, bricks, or concrete blocks. In no case should you buy a brick with cavities, it is better to use a garden brick or stone. The first row is laid dry, without using a solution, with such a laying you will not have to break bricks and it will be easier to fit the next rows.

Prepare a solution for the following rows in advance. Its composition is prepared from an equal amount of slaked lime and cement plus three parts of sand and water, until a homogeneous mass is obtained.

Step 5
Lay out all subsequent rows so that the stones or bricks are shifted to the half-brick or half-stone to the side. That the walls of the barbecue were straight. Level them with a building level.

When installing walls, do not use adhesive solutions. Solutions can pay and emit harmful gases when exposed to an open flame.

Step 6
Place paving stones around the built barbecue so as not to destroy the lawn and comply with safety requirements. At the same time, it will look aesthetically pleasing. You should also create a specific safety zone, preferably 1 meter, and sprinkle it with sand or gravel.
