What do we need:
- an ordinary toothbrush;
- finger battery;
- vibration motor;
- switch;
- several wiring;
- food foil;
- a hacksaw for metal;
- drill;
- glue gun.
The vibration motor can be removed from an old mobile phone. Let's get started.
First of all, you need to carefully wrap the bristles from the toothbrush with food foil so that they do not become very dirty during operation.
Next, you need to cut the handle in two places. A vibration motor will be installed in the upper part, and a battery in the lower part. You can cut it with an ordinary hacksaw for metal or any other convenient tool.
Now, in the places of cut, you need to make recesses in order to install a vibration motor and a battery in them. To do this, we will use a screwdriver or drill at low speeds, so as not to damage the brush.
In the middle part of the brush handle we make a through hole to conduct the wires.
We also make a recess under the switch.
After such simple steps, we can safely say that the work on the preparation of components for the brush is over. You can proceed to the assembly. First, solder the two wires to the vibrator.
Now we push these wires through the middle part from the handle of the toothbrush.
We glue the vibration motor strictly in the center of the recess with a glue gun.
We take another short wire and insert it through the center of the handle of the toothbrush and solder the switch.
We fix the switch in its place using the same glue gun.
Now you need to solder the sticking wires to the battery.
After soldering, you can check whether everything works as intended.
After successful testing, you can safely stick all parts of the toothbrush. The design of the toothbrush allows you to easily replace the battery. If you wish, you can refine the idea to make the battery replacement process easier and more affordable.
