Often welding is necessary while working in the country or repairing a house. But what if there is no own contact welding? The answer is simple: you need to make it yourself, which we will do right now.
Let's start the production of spot or resistance welding by watching the author’s video

So we need:
- car battery;
- stranded wires;
- electrical tape;
- two pieces of copper wire with a cross section of 2-3 mm and a length of 7-8 cm;
- wooden block;
- fine sandpaper.
First of all, in a wooden block, you need to make two recesses under the copper wire.
Next, two pieces of wire must be connected to the wires.
Now, the obtained wire blanks need to be installed in the grooves that were done previously on a wooden bar and properly insulated. Get two contacts.
Between these contacts we should set a clearance of approximately 2-3 mm.
We take small sandpaper and thoroughly sanded the ends of the wires.
The simplest contact welding is ready. It remains to connect the wires to the battery. According to the author of the idea, polarity in this case does not matter.
Such welding is convenient in that there is no need to buy electrodes to use it.
