Spring comes into its own and soon many will go to the cottage ... Someone just to relax, someone to plant a garden and look after the garden. The author of this idea suggests you make a new thing for cottages do it yourself - ottoman from plastic bottles.
To make a ottoman you will need:
1. Plastic bottles of the same height with caps - 37 pieces
2. Foam rubber
3. Wide tape
4. Thick cardboard. Cardboard boxes can be used with a solid side of at least 70 cm
5. Fabric for tight ottoman
6. Soft centimeter
7. Strong threads
8. Sewing machine
9. Zipper
10. Scissors and trifles for sewing.
Now we begin to make a new summer cottage.
1 step.
We will build plastic bottles as shown in the photo below. Tape it well.
2 step.
We measure the diameter of the resulting structure with a centimeter (it is necessary to measure from the side where the bottoms of the bottles are located) and cut out from the cardboard 2 corresponding to the size of the circle. Using tape, we attach the circles on the bottom and top of the bottle structure.
3 step.
Now we cut out a circle from foam rubber, which will be the top of the ottoman. For softness, you can use two foam rubber circles. We also cut rectangles for the side of the ottoman. The width of such rectangles should equal the height of the plastic bottle, and the length of the rectangles is equal to the circumference.
4 step.
Now gently sew the foam parts by hand to our bottle construction.
5 step.
Now you need to sew a beautiful and practical cover on the ottoman. To do this, we take a dense fabric, we cut out the details of the ottoman on its wrong side, we take measurements in the same way as for foam parts (see above), without forgetting to also add 2 cm to each seam. We will sew the received parts on a typewriter, we will sew a zipper on the lower side. That's all, your country new ottoman is ready.
