Need to weed the bed, and the chopper as luck would have worn out? So such a misfortune happened to me, but literally in an hour, I got a new one !!! And now I will share with you how this happened !!!
To work, you will need:
- Bulgarian
- welding
- drill
- 5 mm drill
- Hammer
- Anvil
- Breakdown
- Kerno
- A piece of metal thin-walled pipe 20 cm long, diameter -50 mm
- A piece of wire with a diameter of 10 mm long 60 cm
- Metal cloth 20 cm long
- Shank (powers)
- 1 self-tapping screw 3 cm long
- 2 nails of 90 mm
We take a piece of pipe, 20 cm long, and cut out a wedge (triangle) with a grinder.
And that will be the basis for chopping. Then, using a hammer and anvil, we start tapping in a circle so as to form a cone and reduce the edges to each other.
Then we take a wire and begin to form a holder for the blade itself.
Next, insert the holder into the base for fitting.
It is necessary that the holder fits tightly into the base, if everything is fine, we weld the holder to the base. And brew a seam based on.
Next, we make cuts on the "horns" of the holder, about half the thickness of the wire, so that the future canvas fits snugly.
Getting to the canvas. Cut the trapezoid from the canvas.
Grind the edges.
We put the canvas on the holder and mark the places for the riveting holes.
We take a hammer and a breakdown, a nut, put it on the anvil, so that the hole on the nut coincides with the marked places on the canvas. We take a breakdown and a hammer and punch holes.
We apply the canvas to the holder and mark the points along the holes in the canvas, along which we will make holes for riveting. In order to make holes on the holder, first we draw marks, then we drill using a drill and a drill. We take nails, cut off, stepping back from the hat about 1.5 cm. We insert into the holes on the holder and the blade, thereby connecting the two parts to each other. Put on the anvil and spread the nail.
We drill at the base of the hole a share of the self-tapping screw. We insert the handle into the base and fix it with a self-tapping screw. The final step is sharpening the canvas. The garden chopper is ready! Have a nice day and enjoy homemade!!!
