Homemade animals are not only the joy of communicating with them, but it is, above all, the daily care of the pet, the care of it. To make it comfortable for everyone in the apartment, to make the animal feel completely safe, the author will tell us how to make a wonderful house for your cat out of an ordinary cardboard box.
For this we need:
- a cardboard box;
- litter, preferably waterproof. The author advises using a piece of waterproofing material, it is used as a flooring under wooden floors;
- knife;
- glue;
- old carpet;
- ruler;
- a pencil;
- wide tape, or duct tape, whoever has what.
Step 1.
Take a cardboard box. On one side you need to cut out the entrance to the house for your pet.
Just keep in mind that the entrance must be free enough for the cat to creep into it freely.
Step 2
All hinged sashes of the box must be glued, as shown in the figure.
Step 3
We take waterproof material. Cut off a rectangular piece from it. Moreover, its size of the cut piece should be enough for the bottom and two side walls of our house. Insert a piece through the slotted entrance, unfold it carefully and glue, applying glue to the surface of the floor and two walls.
Step 4
Now we cut three more rectangles of insulating material.
Glue the first one on the floor, just in case, from excess fluid.
The second is on the ceiling.
The third is on the back wall of the house.
Now paste the space around the entrance. And stick the tape of material on the joint between the back of the box and the floor.
Step 5
And here we will paste the outer surface of our house with pieces of the old carpet found, as shown in the figure.
Step 6
Glue on the front of the house the fabric of the old carpet. Be sure to wait until it dries. After that, cut a hole for entry with a knife, step back a bit from the edges.
We make cuts in the corners.
Next, we bend the upper and side stripes of the carpet inside the house, they need to be firmly glued.
Step 7
Cut the bottom strip with a knife. Cut a wide flap of fabric and glue as shown in the photo.
Now the house should dry, preferably a few days.
After the house dries, you can show it to your pet!
Your cat will be happy, because now she has her own corner, where she will feel completely safe!
