Making a cryptographic calendar

At first glance, a cryptographic calendar may seem like a set of obscure hieroglyphs. But everything falls into place when a small slider comes to the rescue, which allows you to read everything on the calendar. We decided to devote this material to a review of a video on the manufacture of such a calendar.

We recommend starting with watching the author’s video

We will need:
- cutting board made of bamboo;
- jigsaw;
- jet printer;
- adhesive tape;
- glue;
- clear nail polish;
- boxing from the CD.

First of all, using an electric jigsaw, you need to cut three planks from a cutting board. The dimensions of the resulting boards should be as follows: 250x45 mm, 250x30 mm and 250x13 mm.

The widest board is designed for drawing images. The middle board will serve as a stand for the calendar, and the small one will be the holder for the slider.

The next step is to apply the image to the board. To do this, apply a strip of tape on a sheet of paper and print a mirror image of the calendar on an inkjet printer.

Next, we take the widest plate and fix the printout with tape. avoiding confusion.

Gently press a sheet of paper and draw a blunt object several times over a sheet of paper so that the paint is absorbed into the tree.

Let's start assembling the calendar. Glue the thinnest board to the stand, which will serve as the holder of the slider.

The board with the picture must be glued to the stand at a distance of 1.5-2 mm from the holder for the slider. This distance is enough for the free movement of the slider.

According to the author of the idea, the ink of the inkjet printer on the calendar can easily be washed off when water gets in, so it is advisable to fix the picture with a transparent varnish.

You can start making the slider. Making it easier from the old box from the CD. The length of the slider should be equal to 45 mm, and the width - 20. It is also necessary to make two vertical holes measuring 8x6 mm and a distance between them of 2 mm.

Also for convenience, you can make a small holder from a small piece of boxing.

It remains only to set the slider between the two tablets and observe how magically incomprehensible characters turn into numbers. Such a calendar can be a good DIY gift.
