Such a feeder becomes indispensable when fishing from a boat. It allows you to quickly deliver large-friction feed to a great height. In addition, the feeder has a huge margin of safety, which is very important when fishing from a boat. Its undeniable advantage is that it is easy to use and does not require large financial costs.
Materials and tools for creating a feeder
- a piece of plastic pipe;
- rope;
- a piece of steel wire;
- lead loads;
- rivets;
- drill (any);
- a loop for fastening the cover;
- a tool for cutting pipes, such as a hacksaw for metal or grinder.
The process of creating a feeder
Step 1. Creating a framework
As the main component for creating a feeder, a plastic pipe is used. Its size can be any, here it all depends on the personal needs of the fisherman, that is, what volumes of feed you need to deliver to the bottom. For fishing at great depths, from 8 meters, a 2-liter feeder is quite enough. It is such a feeder that the author uses, which allows him to catch large bream from great depths.
For each side, the author drops 2 feeding troughs when feeding, as a result, about 8 liters of feed are left.
Step 2. Create a feeder cover
To create the cover, the plastic plugs that you can buy in the same place where the pipes are sold are used. The top cover is attached to the pipe tightly with rivets. An eyebolt is mounted here in order to pass the rope and gain even more weight.
As for the bottom cover, it is hinged and is attached to the feeder through a loop with rivets. The clasp of the lid is done according to the "mustache" method, for this, steel wire is used.
Step 3. Drilling and installing weights
For drilling holes, you can take a drill of any diameter, the larger the better. The holes in the feeder need to be drilled as much as possible.
As for the sinkers, they are installed on the lower part of the feeder also with rivets.Such sinkers can be easily cast from lead pulled from an old battery. Also, the load should be installed in the lower hinged lid.
That's all, the feeder is ready to use. According to the author, he has been using it for more than a year, and so far she has not let him down. In his opinion, such reliability was achieved due to the simplicity of the system.
