Hello. Probably every young man or girl has seen a skateboard at least once in their life. Yes, often not just seen, but also tried to ride. Someone succeeded, someone did not. Some strongly scolded the film "back and into the future" for the false forecast, some scientists.
Of course, we will not be able to make a levitating board, for now ... Yes, and we will have to tinker with the fittings. But today you can learn how to make a skateboard with your own hands. Or rather a dek for him. But not just a deck, but a real standing deck. With all the bends.
We will start, oddly enough, with polystyrene.
- where does the foam come from? You ask.
- You want a “true” board, with a concave, noose and tail. And the foam will serve as a template and form for our board to convey all the bends.
So, take the foam and give it a shape. You can do this to your liking, or ask skaters. If the second, then you probably have to learn a huge pile of slang.
Cut out? Now polish. The main thing to remember, we want to make our board as high quality as possible. Fortunately, polishing polystyrene is not so difficult.
Next, a complete vacuum. We take thin sheets of plywood (did you think that we will make one?), Carefully coat with glue, put in a bag from which you need to pump out air (for a sufficiently strong gluing). We put our “sandwich” on the foam blank and press it.
We are waiting for 48 hours, and maybe longer. To be sure.
Have you waited? We take out, cut out the desired shape, polish.
Now we need flu, it's sandpaper that won't let your feet slip. It is often self-adhesive, but you can use the usual one.
The main thing is a fairly tight fit, without bubbles and folds.
Well, our deck is ready, now it's time to go skating.
