We make a copy of the key from a plastic card

In this material, we offer an overview of the video on the self-production of a copy of the key from a plastic card.

Let's start by watching the author’s video

For self-production of a copy of the key, we need:
- a candle;
- scissors;
- transparent adhesive tape;
- wooden clothespin;
- the key to be duplicated;
- any plastic card.

The first step is to transfer the key pattern to the plastic card. To do this, hold the key in the clothespin, then light the candle and warm the key well over the flame.

Thus, we have a soot, and the key becomes black.

We put the key on the table and seal the transparent tape on top.

Cut off the excess.

Now we gradually unstick the adhesive tape and observe how its shape completely passes to the adhesive tape.

Now glue the tape on a plastic card and cut it with scissors.

Here you need to be extremely careful to exactly repeat all the bends.

After a simple job, our simplest copy of the emergency key is ready.

In order to open the lock with this key you will need a screwdriver, since the key itself will not cope with the task. The reason for this is the softness of the plastic from which the cards are made. The screwdriver in this case helps the key from the plastic card not to bend.
