A gas grill is a very convenient and efficient device. It flares up almost instantly, its heat is easy to adjust by turning the knob. But the main thing: food made on such a grill has a pleasant aroma of wood. Instead of the usual coal, wood must be used for ignition.
We will need:
- a stove with a gas generator working on wood;
- blocks;
- metal cover and grill;
- aluminum pen, thermometer;
- a hemispherical lid.
If you have everything from this list, you can immediately proceed to the creation of a homemade gas grill.
Step 1
The author decided to make a kind of distribution burner so that the flame from a home-made stove was evenly distributed on the grill. To do this, he took a metal round lid. Make thin long cuts on it in a circle. Their ends should reach the center of the lid, while the distance between them should be about 3.5 centimeters. Make similar cuts between them, only they should be a little shorter.
Step 2
Take the hemispherical lid, fix the thermometer with the lid in it. For the cover, you will need to drill holes, and then install the fasteners using ordinary screws.
Step 3
Further, the author began to assemble the entire structure. Blocks here are needed as supports. Place a stove with a gas generator between the blocks. After that, proceed to the next step.
Step 4
Lay on top of the blocks a home-made metal burner, on top of it is a grill grill. Just note that there must be a gap between the grill and the burner. Otherwise, the cooked food will touch the hot metal, and this will not add to your kebab or sausages a better taste.
Homemade grill can be considered complete. You can run it using chips or branches of cherries, apple trees and other types of wood as firewood for kindling. After starting the oven, turn on the built-in fan. This is necessary in order to inflate the heat, as well as to further control the heat generated. Now boldly put on the grill meat, vegetables or any other food products, cover them with a lid and bring to readiness.However, they will not lose their taste!
