Nothing warms a man’s soul like homework gatherings with best friends over a glass of good wine. Yes, even at the table, made do it yourself. Especially if the table is also a bar.
To build such a table-bar at home can be without special costs. The approximate cost is 1500 rubles plus the cost of paint. And if the paint is available on the farm, then even cheaper. The time cost is about two days.
Materials you will need:
- 9 mm MDF sheets, 16 wooden bars of at least 300 mm (the author simply lay around the garage),
- screws
- wood glue,
- patch loops,
- paint
- grout for wood.
Necessary tools:

- sandpaper.
Manufacturing process.
This is the most important part of the job. Decide on the future location of the bottles in the bar, what exactly you want to store in the table, whether there will be a compartment for glasses, etc.
The author decided that the bar should have a place for wine bottles (8 pieces), bottles with other alcohol (cognac, vodka, etc.), a corkscrew, a knife, corks, a cutting board, wine glasses, cocktail glasses, wineglasses, cutlery.
Based on what you want to store inside the bar, decide on its size.
The depth of the bar should correspond to the length of the wine bottle, which will fit freely in a horizontal position. On the other hand, glasses will be located, and on top, under the countertop - a drawer for various little things.
We prepare all the details. Saw MDF sheet into separate parts:
- top: 350 * 607 mm,
- lower part: 340 * 607 mm,
- side parts: 2 pcs 440 * 607,
- front part: 2 pcs 440 * 303,
- back wall: 440 * 607,
- 2 internal vertical partitions: 440 * 320,
- 2 internal horizontal partitions: 607 * 320.
To begin with, small sandstones of 300 mm are sanded and cut on one side at an angle of 45 degrees. These will be our wine bottle holders.
To each sheet of MDF, which will be our vertical partitions, at a distance of 110 mm from both sides we fasten these bars (4 pcs on each side), the bottom is attached to the bottom. Similarly, we fix 4 pieces on the inside of the side wall of the table.
While we lay aside the partitions and go in for a glass stand.
Given the limited internal space of the table, the author decided to hang up wine glasses. In order to do this, you need to measure the glasses and determine at what distance they will be located from each other. After that, make 2 cuts on a part 607 * 320 in size, each 10 mm larger than the stem of the glass.
To make the minibar mobile and to ensure good ventilation, drill two 30-mm holes on the side walls at a distance of 55 mm from each other. Draw the outline of the oval slots and use a jigsaw to saw them out.
Now that almost all the parts are ready, it's time to mow them. Before painting, the tree must be sanded so that there are no bumps and small burrs. After the paint has dried, you can proceed to the final assembly. But before that, we collect a small drawer, where various useful trifles will be stored.
To assemble the drawer, it is necessary to fit 5 parts in accordance with the dimensions of the middle section of the table. In this case, the width will be 215 mm, height 40 mm.
Use screws and glue to assemble all butt joints. Assemble in the following sequence:
fasteners of the lower and upper parts to the rear wall,
installation of internal partitions,
installation of the sides (right, then left).
This order is most convenient in order to have maximum access to all parts of the structure.
Pre-prepared cut parts should be slightly reduced in width so that the gap between them is about 2 mm. Handles will serve us as round holes sawn with a jigsaw. Then attach the hinges and install the doors. Sand the edges of the doors and paint them. A paint of a darker, contrasting color will look good.
Minibar table is ready. Now you can fill it with pleasant content. The department for glasses included 6 wine glasses, 4 beer glasses, 4 cocktail glasses, 6 glasses and a shaker. In the upper box there is a corkscrew, a knife, a cutting board and various little things. The middle section perfectly accommodates several bottles with different drinks. Wine bottles are snugly in the wine compartment.
