From a variety of improvised materials that many people simply throw away, it is possible to make quite convenient bars for the furnace furnace. They are made by pressing. Anyone can also make a reusable form directly to facilitate the entire process on their own.
Materials
In order to make the same bars for the furnace with your own hands, you need to prepare:
- several cardboard sleeves from rolls of toilet paper;
- sawdust and shavings from natural (natural) wood;
- a simple board or an old countertop;
- a clamp;
- long screws;
- a hacksaw;
- glue for wood;
- a pencil;
- a piece of thin bendable plastic;
- dowel or wooden skewer;
- an empty small container.
Step 1. Before you start creating the bars, you should initially make the so-called mold. In this case, in the form of a base, you can take the countertop from an old unnecessary coffee table or bedside table. Everyone can replace it with an ordinary board or other improvised wood - preferably with native materials. From the countertop itself, you need to cut out the squares with a small circle in the middle, which corresponds to the outer diameter of your sleeve. One such square must necessarily have a small hole designed to enter for a wooden skewer. The number of such squares will directly depend on the total thickness of the starting materials, as well as the length of such a sleeve. For an ordinary cardboard roll with the length of the sides of the squares is 7 cm, but the height of the handicap itself is exactly 15 cm.
Step 2 Having made all the squares, they must be assembled into a single design. They are all fastened with one long screw. And for reliability, you can glue the workpiece between each other and here you will definitely need a vise or clamp. Hold the resulting squares with the tool and simply leave the structure until the glue completely dries.
Step 3 From soft thin plastic you need to cut a rectangular piece. They will need to cover the entire inner surface in the mold, so that in the future the bar was as easy to get out.
Step 4 Insert your cardboard sleeve into the mold.
Step 5 After that, in an empty container, you need to mix three glasses of sawdust and shavings with one glass of ordinary tap water. Waste should be tried to be taken exclusively from natural wood species, so that the bar itself, in the end, does not exude any unpleasant odors when burning. Thoroughly mix the sawdust, and also start stuffing the mold itself as components.
Step 6 In order to compact all the sawdust inside the mold, it is worth using a clamp, as well as a small wooden circle, slightly smaller than the diameter of your hub.
Step 7 It is necessary to squeeze out water from the bar itself, and also give it time to dry.
Step 8 It is convenient to get the bar with wooden skewers, while inserting it into the back of the mold. After this, the bar must be completely dried.
