Word "country house"recalls not only the images of the beds, the garden and the lawn that requires mowing, but also the memories of a pleasant vacation, fresh air, barbecue and friendly gatherings around the fire ... Here, of course, each presents its own version: a simple fire made of firewood dug earthen pit, chic country fireplace or gazebo with barbecue.
Most summer residents try to use imagination and improvised means to make life more convenient and comfortable. Many at one time adapted car rims for barbecue cooking. By themselves, they do not look very aesthetically pleasing, and despite all their advantages, using them is not very convenient. But you can, using this good idea and skillful hands, make a convenient hearth where you can safely sit with your children, socialize comfortably and enjoy cooking delicious and fragrant dishes.
First of all, you need to decide on a place for the hearth. For the comfort of holidaymakers, it is possible to provide for the presence of benches around it.
After the place is selected, it is necessary to mark. Put the disk in your chosen place, back off the necessary distance from its edges, taking into account the size of the lining stone and the gap between the disk and the masonry for air circulation. In this embodiment, about 30 cm.
Start making the foundation. Remove the turf approximately the depth of the shovel bayonet along the marking line. Make a sand pillow and spill it with water for better tamping.
Put the disk back in place, mark the center with a pin or stick, mark the boundaries of the disk to make the foundation itself. Along the edges in a circle we lay the brick in two rows.
We align the inner wall with cement.
The cavity between the foundation and the edges of the pit is filled with a solution with the addition of broken stone, crushed stone, etc. Level the solution. We give the foundation to dry.
Now the most interesting part of the work begins - the creation of the hearth itself. The author used colored cladding brick.
The disc was mounted in its rightful place to make the distance for the air gap even. For the intake of air in the first row of the masonry made a blow.
From above, the masonry and the distance between it and the disk were covered with flagstone, while leaving a small distance so that the entire disk could be reached if necessary.
The author also welded small pieces of profile (about 10 cm) to the disk for installation of skewer or bowler holders in them. Painted them with heat-resistant paint against corrosion. A removable grill has also become an excellent solution, which will allow you to freely clear the hearth of ash.
So with the help of skillful hands and imagination, a simple car drive turned into a cozy and attractive hearth, near which it is nice to sit on summer evenings.
