For a newborn baby, loving parents and relatives usually buy a lot of things and accessories. Among them there are those that definitely can not be purchased, but made by yourself. For instance, baby changing table or pelenatorwhich is needed to prevent falls during diaper replacement. It is also very convenient for the child to do gymnastics and conduct hygienic procedures.
Better make a table portable (mobile)so that he does not take up useful space in the apartment. Such a pelenator can be placed on a crib, on a sofa, and on a chest of drawers.
Let's start with our own production of such a necessary children's accessory as a mobile changing table.
The author suggests taking such materials for this:
- parts of the old disassembled of furniture - shields, strips;
- oilcloth - a pharmacy medical or other;
- thin foam for laying between oilcloth and countertop;
- self-tapping screws for fixing the product.
We will use an electric jigsaw, a screwdriver or an ordinary screwdriver, a stapler with staples from tools, from accessories - sandpaper, a round lid from a can or pan.
The dimensions of the changing table are arbitrary, the shape is a square or rectangle, as in this example. The main thing is that the baby's legs do not hang from him and the diaper changer can be reliably put on the crib. Therefore, the author measured the width of the crib and added 12 centimeters.
Using an electric jigsaw, we cut out the necessary size countertops from pieces of chipboard or MDF from old furniture, two side stops and two for fasteners under the countertop.
Side limiters (B) are needed to protect the baby from falling. Their edges must be rounded so that the child does not accidentally get hurt. To do this, take a lid from a can or pan, attach it to the limiter and draw a rounded corner, then cut it with a jigsaw. Grind with sandpaper. We tighten the limiters with a medical oilcloth, fix it with a stapler.
The lower stops (A) are needed to fix the changing table on the bed.With the help of flat-head screws, we attach them under the table base perpendicular to the side stops. Now we surround the tabletop with the same medical oilcloth, having previously placed a layer of foam rubber under it, leaving room for the installation of side stops.
At the end of the work, we attach the side stops (B) to the countertop with self-tapping screws. Homemade mobile changing table is ready! It remains to cover it with a diaper, put it in a place convenient for you with a peanut and safely use it! It will be convenient for you, and the baby is also safe!
