But in order to use the fertilizer for its intended purpose, you need to work hard - sift the organic material, freeing it from debris, stones, and then turn it into a uniformly fine mass, which will be ready for use. Fertilizer filter drum - extremely useful homemade for gardeners. It makes it possible to prepare the mass for feeding, without putting a lot of effort.

1. Take out the needles from the rim
The easiest way to do this is with wire cutters. Just cut out the needles from the rims.
2. We fix a grid on disks.
The disks used by the author of the homemade product are about 55 cm in diameter. Therefore, the length of the mesh should be at least 170 cm, plus 5 cm, in order to overlap the seam. The mesh cut width is 90 cm. We fix the mesh on the discs using small pieces of wire.
3. Wooden frame.
We make a rectangular frame from wooden bars. We make the frame the width of our mesh drum. On one side, the frame should be cut to half the width of the beam. Inside the resulting frame, we measure the place for mounting the wheels.
Bicycle disks should stand firmly on the wheels, so we focus on the location of the disks on our drum. We fasten the wheels. Install our drum on a wooden frame.
4. We assemble the structure.
If you work with a lot of compost, it can fall out on the back of the filter device, so we need to cover one side with a half cap. Cut a piece of the required size from plywood and install it on the frame.
The frame itself is installed on a wheelbarrow, but you can make a special stand, the main thing is that the filter drum is in an inclined position.
If desired, and if there is a need to work with large volumes of compost, you can adjust the electric motor to facilitate your work to the maximum.
