To make a street torch, you need to take:
- a bottle (plastic, glass, but the main thing is to be beautiful)
- teflon tape
- fasteners
- aromatic oils
- a wick in the form of a cotton rope
- a tube of copper in diameter of the neck of the bottle
1. Take a copper tube, or rather, a small segment of it about 5 cm in length.
2. In a piece of copper tube, thread the wick.
3. Half the length, wrap with teflon tape.
4. We take the bottle and insert into the neck a piece of the copper tube, which should fit tightly there. If the tube slides, you must still wind the tape. For greater reliability, tape it to the neck with the same tape.
5. The time has come for fasteners. It’s worth it to be smart, because it is made from what is at hand. Of course, you can simply put such a torch on the ground, but you do not want to become the culprit of the fire.
6. Filler for the torch, can be any. You have the right to use any combustible mixture, but it’s best for these purposes that either gasoline is charged with lighters, or a special mixture for bio-fireplaces.
7. At the very beginning, I wrote that such a torch would scare away mosquitoes, so if this is important for you, then add flavored oils to the combustible mixture. You should not add several aromas at once, as the effect can be unpredictable. Alternate flavors each time. Aromatic oils such as eucalyptus, camphor, anise, clove, bird cherry and valerian oil scare away insatiable mosquitoes well.
With such a torch, your garden will turn into a real oasis of relaxation and bliss. Enjoying a warm summer evening in the garden, you will feel the cozy atmosphere that such a small source of light will give you.
