Main sofa
The kitchen sofa consists of two sidewalls to which the back and seat are attached.
We collect the sidewalls
First, cut out the side parts 45 * 37 cm (2 pieces). The sides will be mounted on supporting bars 4 * 4 cm, the length of which is 45 cm. At the same level or slightly lower than the foam, we will fasten another beam of the same size to the sidewall, it will strengthen our design and give it a look of completeness.
Box
The box is used to store various things, which is very convenient in the kitchen. We need 2 boards measuring 15 * 2.5 * 120 cm and two trim 15 * 2.5 * 30 cm. At the bottom of the box we install plywood, which we fasten in the grooves, All details must be screwed with 6-7 cm screws. Close the holes with a plug , or profile bar.
Back
Attach the sides to the back with horizontal bars: 1 top 2.5 * 6 * 120 cm and 2 lower 2.5 * 7 * 120 cm. Take 4 vertical posts to which we fasten the bars. The racks themselves have a size of 2.5 * 7 * 26 cm. We assemble the frame and fasten a sheet of plywood to the racks, then we will not glue foam rubber on it.
Seat
The seat frame consists of 4 transverse (4 * 7 * 16 cm) and 2 longitudinal bars (4 * 7 * 12 cm). We fasten the longitudinal bars with screws, screwing them through the sides to the ends of the bars. We fix the longitudinal strips to the transverse ones by means of spikes. Then we fasten a sheet of plywood of certain sizes with screws to the frame.Connect the seat cover and the rear longitudinal bar thanks to the piano loop. The lid should go forward 2-3 cm. We also fasten the backrests to the metal corners.
Assembling a short sofa and corner joints
This sofa is assembled in the same way, the only difference is that the longitudinal bars are 90 cm long. For corner joints we produce seats 45 * 45 cm. We cut the front and back corners of the cover. We fasten to the sides of adjacent sofas with the help of self-tapping screws on a bar, section 3 * 3 cm, 40 cm in length.
Install the rear rack for the back of the corner connection. We cut the board 3 * 35 * 100 cm. We cut the stand under the cone, select the edges at an angle of 45 degrees. Fasten to the Euroscrews at the end of the seat from the back. We fix additional backs on both sides, sew them with plywood and fasten them to the sidewalls.
Upholstered sofa
Before proceeding with the upholstery of the sofa, make sure that all parts are ready and fit together. Dismantle the corner module. Cut the foam separately for each part. Then stick and tighten with a cloth. Reassemble the angle from the already marked holes.
Then we fix the foam to the seats and backs of sofas. Do not forget to leave a margin of 2 cm on each side to close the ends. To avoid defects and irregularities, first attach the allowances at the edges with the stapler, and then the foam on the seat itself. The maximum distance between the brackets should not exceed 2 cm.
When upholstering with fabric, measure the necessary part and transfer the measurements to the fabric, while not forgetting the additional allowance of a couple of centimeters on each side. After all, it will be necessary to bend and secure the fabric on the back with a stapler.
It remains only to cover the wooden parts with stain, and then with varnish, or, if desired, with paint.
