Step # 1: Materials for work
For work, you need to use a little corrugated cardboard, as well as six cardboard tubes. Five cardboard tubes should have a total radius of 5.3 cm, and one of the tubes should have a wider radius. If you have at your fingertips tubes of only one size, then that's okay. You just need to change the further template for yourself, and you can safely work.
Print the front part template so that you can use it by transferring the idea to a piece of cardboard.
Step # 2: Transfer the sketch from the template to the cardboard
For work, you will need a pencil with which you will transfer the boundaries of the front part, tracing the prepared template. Transferring the drawing, make notes that will allow you to repeat the same option on eight layers of cardboard using a template.
Tip: when it comes to cutting, it is better to work vertically with one half, and horizontally with the other half.
Step # 3: start cutting
Use a cutter to patiently and accurately cut eight layers. For round holes, a compass knife is perfect. It will be much easier to work if you have a laser cutter. Then you need to use a saw to cut all the cardboard tubes into two parts of the same length.
Step # 4: Getting started with glue
Here are eight layers of cardboard products that need to be glued together for the strength of the future product. Glue each part with glue and glue them together. Use books or other heavy objects as a press.
Leave the products under the press for ten hours so that the glue dries well and the parts stick together tightly.
Next, you need to assemble all parts of the chair in a single design. Connect the front sides together with the cardboard tubes. After that, your chair is completely ready.
